Before Herbert Tareyton was also advertised on a similar piece. Famous slogans featured are the long-lived"Wherever particular people congregate" on each side panel. And"It filters the smoke- it protects your throat" on the back. Referring to Pall Mall's longer than(then-standard) length. My pictures distort the contrast in the wood color- it's pretty much the same from top to bottom. Some damage is visible where a strip of tape was removed(top of the shelf side) And there is some staining to the interior bottom shelf(which was for storage of extra product, but overall, the markings are simply well-earned signs of a hard-working display ... morepiece from the days before cheap wire racks and cheaper plastic ones. Very well worn display with 5 divided drawers. The advertising pictures are still visable. But there is a very primitive look to this find. Overall size is 10 5/8"w x 123/4" h x 7 1/8" w. All drawers except bottom have original finger pulls. This looks like an easy hardware repair. This is as found. And I'm sure some cleaning technique would help restore the coloring. All wood construction with box corner joinery. The overall integrity of the woodwork is good. The paper is as shown.

Here is a Nice Old Isrite Manicure Sticks Advertising Counter Top Drugstore Display Case with about 60 sticks most are of the proper brand. This case is very nice and shows great gold lettering on a faux leather cloth surface that is wrapped around this small country store drug store advertising display with two slots. And also reads Real Orange Wood on both display and product. The lid is glass. The bottom slot for the smaller sticks are marked 5 cents and the larger sticks are marked 10 cents. This mirror measures 8.5" wide 5.5" deep, and 3" tall. This display shows some wear but overall is very nice. Be sure to check out my other pharmaceutical items and advertising. RARE Vtg. L'OREAL Paris Cosmetic Counter Advertising Plaque Display Prop Award
Offering up a Very Unusual piece for bids here this week. This is some sort of Advertising Display. Promo, or even possibly an Award Plaque from L'OREAL, the Worlds Largest cosmetic company. The reason why I suggest an Award piece is because of the area that looks like it was intended to be engraved. Obviously, nothing was ever engraved.This is Certainly not something that was made to be sold. Features a Wonderful image of a woman with flowing hair. Why did they not use this image more? Made of some sort of white metal. Looks like silver, possibly silver plated. It is fairly thick and very sturdy, not just a piece of tin. It is mounted to a piece of black plexiglass, and has a hinged stand on the back. Looks to be attached with pins in the corners. The metal portion measures about 3- 5/8" x 5- 5/8" x 1/4" thick. Plexiglass ... moreis 5- 1/4" x 7- 1/4" Remains in Very good condition, but not mint. There are a few Minor scratches, nothing bad at all. Still displays Beautifully. The metal portion has some tarnish. I think it would really pop with some silver cleaner, but I will leave exactly as found. Not really sure how old this piece is. If I had to guess, I would say 1960's. What I do know, is that you will not likely see another one like it again. A Must have for any serious collector or high end L'OREAL retailer. Good luck.

This heavy cardboard die-cut display measures approx. 13" high by 9" wide and has a cool three dimensional appearance to it as the images are raised above the background by stand-off cushions. It has an easel type back that can be folded to allow it to be displayed standing on a surface. This display depicts a sexy lady holding a silver tray with three different Camel packs on it and is NOS brand new and has never been used. There are very slight dings on the two lower corners that in no way take away from the visual appeal of this great piece but must be noted for accuracy. An interesting shop display stand for Hohner Harmonicas from around the Edwardian period. It has the look of an old gramophone. The script is the same on three sides and all are in the same condition which I would describe as good. Patent applied for" also printed on all three sides.There is a key hole to one side but sadly no key. I presume it was wound up to revolve an upper platform. If you manually turn the external wheel you can hear the mechanics of it inside. The top is firmly screwed down. Condition is as shown with stains etc and chip to right front edge of top. Display rested on counter tops of general stores to advertise for Tennyson Cigars. The display itself is in nice displayable condition. Whole display is composed completely of tin and glass. Measures about 12.5 inches tall and is about 15 inches long and 9 inches wide. Display has two glass flaps(original) on the front to display the cigar. A great tin lithograph on top! Originally used as nightlights, in their original counter display box. This is the AR-1argon glow bulb. It is similar to the GE neon glow bulbs but instead of glowing orange. The AR-1 glows purple and generates significant amounts of UVA radiation. Making it useful for examining UVA-sensitive minerals, viewing"blacklight" posters, etc. This bulb screws into any convenient 120 volts AC or DC female medium screw-base light receptacle or light socket. I tested the bulbs by simply screwing them(briefly) into a standard lamp receptacle; they lit and glowed purple as they should. There is one that has some dark shading on the glass as if it had been used. But that one tested fine as well. I have listed ... morethem as"used" as I am unsure if they have been or not. You are bidding on.a Vintage PRESSED GLASS COUNTER DISPLAY JAR/ CANISTER with ORIGINAL LID. Featuring a beautiful BEAD/ BALL-style KNOB. It measures 7 1/2" high to the top of the knob(6 1/4" high without the lid on) x 5 5/8" across the opening x 5 1/2" across the base. It's in EXCELLENT CONDITION; and the glass is SPARKLING CLEAR and BRIGHT. Beautiful SPRING TULIPS encircle the body, with BOLD COLOR and CRISP GRAPHICS. One of the tulips has a minor nick in the paint; and a light touch of counter wear on the base. The lid has two mould seams, and a big BEAD/ BALL KNOB or FINIAL. There are the usual old mould marks from the glassmaking process, like bubbles, straw marks, swirls/striations, unique moulding anomalies, and some scattered roughness around the inner rims.
