There is no reserve on this great old general store tin bin or caddy. We are pleased offer this lovely antique tin bin. Probably used in a general store in the late 19 th C. It is in very good overall condition with very little rust. The paint on the front has been touched up long before we acquired it. But fortunately nothing has been done to the lovely young woman who forms the cameo in the center. The gold and black has pretty much been completely done over, but it may have been a long time ago as there are some dings in the paint. The hinges have a really old solder repair which might indicate these are old“fixes. These were pretty valuable pieces to the store keeper and he wouldn’t have wanted them to look too worn. This is a 5 cent Jolly Jack box. It is in rough condition. But it is complete. The edges of the box top are rough and frayed, and one corner is ripped. It is also soiled. The bottom part of the box is just like the cover, but in better condition. It measures 11" x 7 3/4" x 3" Jolly Jack is a Curtiss product. The boy's megaphone says it is rich in Dextrose the sugar you need for enery. The ends of the box say the same as the top and Otto Schnering, President Chicago. Up for auction is a beautiful chalkware advertising figurine for NITE-N-DAY girdle foundation garments as well as panties. It was likely displayed on counter tops of ladies foundation departments in the 40's or 50's. It is still a very attractive advertising piece. But it has some issues. The surface has considerable paint flaking and there is some chipping, the worst being a missing curl on the back of the figurines head. With expert restoration, it could look absolutely beautiful again. It stands 12 and 3/4 inches high and its widest at the base is 6 and 1/2 inches. The top shelf held Peppermint and Spearmint gum stick 5-packs. The bottom shelf held Beechies Candy Coated Chewing Gum multi-packs in Peppermint, Pepsin, and Spearmint flavors. There is a metal'clip' across the back top edge that held an additional cardboard/poster board promotional advertising piece. Its dimensions are: 12 1/2"W x 8 3/4"H x 8 1/2"D. The colors and gum decals are in great shape. But there are two noticeable areas where the paint has worn down to bare metal: one on the top edge in the Peppermint Gum section, and the other on the opposite rear backside mid. Up for sale is a wonderful and super rare 1930's Store Counter Advertising Display for 7-up. Bottom back side at corner. Someone wrote 1936 in pencil. Not sure of exact age. Made of paperboard and originally designed to sit on a counter. Rear fold out leg is missing as seen in last photo. Has wear on edges and corners but colors still show very nice. Has a crease in paperboard by the letter P. Also has a bend at bottom left. Sign measures a fairly large 13 1/2 in. x 19 1/2 in. This particular design is extremely rare and guaranteed not to see another one for sale anywhere. Bottom says.Litho in Canada. Comes from the collection of a long time advertising collector. The top of the display reads: Custom-Blended Haircolor ROUX Creme COLOR For Professional Use Only. There are 30"cubbies" or sections below that are numbered(for the color product code) and two that read'Bleach' There is one pullout drawer on the upper right with a small knob. The cabinet has a stippled type finish. It is in good condition as shown- just a small amount of surface rust near a few of the cubbies that we see. Remember. Nice old or vintage. Wooden hat stand, wrapped in a brown/ tan velvet type material. I think it had a blue ribbon, there is a blue-ish color at the base, see photos. It is approx. 8 3/4" tall, 3 1/2" across the top, and 5 1/4" across the base. Nice overall condition, there is a small rip in the cloth, on the center rod, toward the top, and not easy to see. It is wood, and I think it shrunk a bit; it rocks back only slightly. It is still overall in good shape.

In the lower right corner is a built-in brass compact with the Princess Pat name on the lid. It is hinged and has a small mirror on the inside. It once held a product sample(Summer Tan) that customers could try. There is a header sign across the top. It has the name. Gold decorative ... moreborders, and a color image on each side with a pretty girl portrait. They look to be from the early 1920's. Maybe a little earlier. The back is a heavy steel drop-down door with its original brass pull knob. The inside is divided into six sections that once held rouge containers. They are labeled by name. Nite, Theatre, Vivid, Medium, Squaw, and English Tint. Condition is pretty good. The dark brown paint shows some wear, and some paint loss from age and many years of use. The under side is steel and in good shape with the same paint wear. The decals are in good condition with some expected old wear. One scratch line on the red front oval decal. Some wear on the faces. No breaks on the glass covers. Actual rouge samples are still complete. This is a very uncommon old store display that will make a great addition to any collection. Art Deco 1930s Catalin Bakelite & Chrome Perfume Store Counter Display TATTOO
I have been told this is a store counter display for TATTOO perfume and/or makeup. I do know that at one time it had an insert that I think held a perfume bottle. It is beautifully art deco styled. The top half of the ball is chromed with a mirror inside.The bottom half of the ball being yellow or butterscotch Catalin(sometimes called bakelite- which it isn't- catalin and bakelite are made by two completely different processes- but that's another discussion! The fact that this beautiful piece is made of catalin dates it to the late 1930s or early 1940s. I'd say it is from the late 30s. But you be the judge. It is mounted on a weighted black bakelite(the real thing) base. The base is marked TATTOO, and measures 4 3/4 inches square.The'ball' is 6 3/4 diameter, and the whole thing is 8 inches total height. The bottom butterscotch ... morecatalin piece has a very small chip on the rim(see pictures) and it looks like a burned place on the back, probably from someone testing to see if it really was catalin(see pictures) Otherwise, no cracks or chips that I see. I've had this pieces for several years and only noticed the burn when I was dusting it off to take the pictures for this listing.The insert would have fit into three small hols around the edge- the holes are still there, the insert is not. The chrome dome has a few tiny scratches, scuffs. I will leave it up to the buyer as to how it will be packed- if you want, I will take the catalin and chrome ball of the base(one screw& nut) and pack the ball and the base independently, or I will pack it as a unit. This is a neat old advertisng counter display for a bar. Bells Scotch whiskey. Would have set a bottle on the platform beside the statue. I figure this piece was made in the fifties. This is made as two seperate pieces joined with a screw. I don't think it is the original fastener. Shown sitting on platform in last photo. Could use a rubber washer as well. This is an Original 1950s-1960s AC Spark Plug GM Chevrolet PARTS CATALOG COUNTER RACK that was commonly seen on the counters of most AC& Chevy dealer's Parts Departments in the 1950s and 1960s. It's made of steel. It HAS ALL OF the parts book or catalog holders and both of its"wings" Very very rare to find with book holders. The rack will be perfect for your car display or a must for a replica parts department. Very nice display paint. The side surfaces are very nice. But the working area(top) has scratches from years of use, and the wing pieces have scratches and chips. The paint is still shiny and there aren't any dents. Lid is aluminum with red lettering and red knob. Lid looks to have had steelwool pad used on it. Also has a very tiny crack(see pictures) I have not seen a lid like the one on this jar before. Vintage Johnson & Johnson "Quick Foot Relief" Counter Display Unit w/Storage
You are looking at a vintage Johnson& Johnson Quick Foot Relief Counter Display Unit with 4 storage drawers. The top of the unit with the Quick Foot Relief wording folds down and shows the Johnson& Johnson label with New Brunswick. N.J. and Chicago, Ill. below it. There is minimal surface rust on the unit, with the most being on the frame around the corn and bunion pad displays. The display glass is intact with no chips or cracks. The displays are all original! The 4 storage drawers on the back side of the unit all still open and are each labeled for specific items. The drawers each have a small amount of writing on them ranging from a number with a circle around it to a circled number and writing. VINTAGE CAST IRON BLACK MAN MECHANICAL ARCADE COUNTER DISPLAY GAME OF CHANCE
This auction is for an old cast iron mechanical game of chance counter display. The game of chance works by putting a coin in his hand then pulling the lever on the back. The coin goes into his mouth and rolls to the bottom where it lands in one of three numbers. When the lever in the back is pulled the eyes and tongue roll back. Bets were placed on what number the coin would land on.The bottom is marked"J.E. Stevens Pat. 5931887" It is in working condition. The arm moves up and the eyes and tongue move when the lever is pulled. It measures 7 3/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It does have some paint wear and rust as shown in the photos.
