I took a lot of pictures so you could see everything's condition and markings so please look at them closely. The pieces have a lot of wear from use, a lot of staining/black spotting/discolorization from storage(the rule especially has a lot of black spotting) and there are names and/or initials etched in two places on the rule and three on the combination square, but overall it's all in good condition with all the heads holding the rule tight and sliding smoothly. We think that this is a Union Tool Company square head 45 degree protractor. But it is not marked and was stored in a Starrett protractor box so not positive. Appears to be missing gripper knob? 4 1/4" long, 3 3/4" tall. Level liquid looks to be fine with bubble still floating inside. This came out of a small one-man working machinist's shop. Now for the 24" starrett blade very hard to read I can not tell if is rust or wood pitch on the blade it could be some of each. The bubble in the square is not broken, and has its fluid. It does not have the little pointed scribe that fits in the end of the square. All 3 pieces have the same raised pattern on the black parts. Vintage General Hardware square head protractor. 0-180 degrees. This has been in my grandfathers workshop for over 50 years. He was a machinist for United Airlines in the 1940's.
