The Brown& Sharpe 617 Depth Gauge has an adjustable measuring base and a rule scale with graduations of 1/32" and 1/64" A measurement range of 0 to 5" and an accuracy of + or– 0.001" for direct measurement of holes and recesses. The adjustable measuring base can be angled and positioned along the rule and locked into place via the knurled nut. The base is made of hardened steel, measures 2-1/2" long and 1/8" thick at its base, and has 30- 45- and 60-degree angle markings to serve as guide for estimating angles.
