Vintage 1940s-50s MSA SKULLGUARD Size 7 TYPE K HARD HAT M.S.A. CLEAN
Hat in overall good condition. Shows one small nick on the brim. No cracks. Liner is adjustable and soft. Shows some light scratches here& there but nothing major as you can see in the pictures. Marked on the underside brim MSA and has the MSA SKULLGUARD sticker in the top of the helmet. Nice helmet with plenty of use left in it. I don't see a size in it but I believe the liner adjustment is set at size 7 right now because of the way it fits me and has plenty of room to go bigger or smaller. Email me with any questions. Up for sale is a vintage B.F. McDonald Full Brim aluminum hard hat. It is very clean. And in great condition, with only minor scratches throughout the metal(see pictures for details) It is adjustable, with a six point leather strap system. The leather is in great condition, without cracks, and the adjustment system is in great condition. The words"MSA Safety Equipment" and"Made in Canada" are printed on the leather. B.F. McDonald Co. Los Angeles C7 S" is inscribed on the bottom of the brim. The initials"IDS" are carved into the bottom of the brim. There is a small hole drilled through the front of the brim. I am not sure what the purpose is, but I would guess it is to attach a light. There is a triangle logo on the front with a lightning bolt inside. This tiger striped MSA Comfo Cap is in good condition. The camo look is very good. There is abrasion on the interior of each side of the bill. I can see no indication of its size. The string that adjusts the size is in good shape. The shoe string that adjusts the top of headband is in good shape. The British made Premier Lamp is in very good condition. I had to replace the flint. It lit the first time I struck the striker. It gives off a strong spark. The tip did not need to be cleaned. Something very different about this cap. Lamp combo is that the original owner attached his tip cleaner to the cap using a small piece of wire When the tip got sooted up his cleaner was easy to find, ready to use. Questions. Helmet was issued to me in March of 2002 during fall operations at the site. It is white in color. Size is adjustable and says in bold black lettering on the back The Port Authority Of NY and NJ. The helmet in overall good condition with only one minor crack as seen in the last photo. I remember whacking my head on metal someplace at the site and the helmet did protect me. After such incident I retired and put the helmet it my closet. Helmet is a little dirty and I did not clean it after months of use at the WTC site. Helmet also has two stickers on it, one is Think SAFETY first and the other is Bethlehem Steel.
