This ole hat has been used and shows some wear but still has a lot of life left! please see pictures to get a full understanding of the condition. It has some wear consistent with being used. Has the original suspension liner that needs to be cleaned but definately can still be used. helmet is in as found condition and needs a good cleaning. Discontinued and getting to be a scarce item found in this condition.

Up for auction is a VINTAGE B. F. McDONALD ALUMINUM FULL BRIM HARD HAT. This hard hat is in good condition other than a couple of small dents at the very top. There is a label on the front with a woman's name and also engraved"MWK" The label is peeled up on the left side(looks like someone tried to remove it) And the blue from the label has transferred to the helmet as shown in photos. There are 2 small holes in the front as well that look like maybe they held a badge of some sort. The liner looks good, it has not pulled away from helmet and looks to be original but I am not sure. This is an Aluminum Safety Hard Hat or Helmet. It made by McDonald and is model T. 6 1/2 thru 7 1/8" It meets the Anzi Z89 safety code of 1981. It looks to be manufactured by Mine Safety Appliance Co. The hat looks fairly new on the outside. It has one very small scratch and one very small dent you can see from the outside. The inside shows some age as the brackets holding the inner web have some surface rust on them. I have what is left of the original plastic bag that the hard hat came in. There is a significant amount of wear on the inside and out whitch should be expected from it. Considering its age. The inside is dirty. I tried to clean it but I couldn't get all the dirt out. For your consideration is a vintage US Government aluminum hard hat by McDonald. Bullard's"Hard Boiled" competitor. The piece is in good clean used condition banded ALUMINUM HARD HAT with liner from the estate of retired US Government safety inspectors, bureau of mines and the ASFS circa 1969-1970s. Marked"US GOVERNMENT" on the outside and"McDONALD" T" CAP-STANDARD" MINE SAFETY APPLIANCES CO. on the underside of the brim. Comes complete with original MSA adjustable plastic liner. Two original partial stickers inside back, an ANSI specifications and MSA label. This one is used and does show it, but still a nice collector's item. Measurements: Outside lip 11-1/4" by 8-1/2 and stands approximately 5-1/2" tall. Condition: Used good. Exterior has a freckling of age spots and a few small ... moredings and scratches in keeping of age. A little sticker residue on the outside. The interior webbing and lining is in good shape. Vintage pre 1970s Aluminum PANORAMA Hard Hat - Made in England - Cotton Straps
I bought this hard hat about 35 years ago at an auction in New Zealand. I bought it because I collected hats at the time and it caught my eye. My bid won it. And it has remained in a trunk for all these years. I unpacked it today, and although I still like it, I have accumulated way to many things since my traveling days. So. Here it is. I did a search on Ebay, I see there are a number of this style of hard hat available. I cannot find anything on the maker of this particular hat. Panorama" is the stamp under the brim, under that is"Made In England" The inside webbing is cotton, no plastic anywhere on this hard hat. The chin strap has a metal buckle that is a bit rusty, could use a good wire brushing. The hat has not been worn to the best of my knowledge. The hard hat features an adjustable suspension- not sure of the size- that label has been worn off. This auction is for a vintage. Full size, 1960s McDonald T Cap Standard + hardhat with insulated twill liner made by MSA and composed of aluminum with a plastic suspension. The suspension is in workable, operational shape. Note: The suspension is in very good functional condition. There is some soiling on the insulated twill cloth liner. It just snaps in and could easily be removed for laundering.
