Vintage 1920's GOOD LUCK BRAND GLOVES Salesman's Sample Case This is an early salesman's sample case(Circa 1920s) from the Good Luck Glove Company of Carbondale. Illinois. This salesman's case is emblazoned on both sides with the very charming logo for Good Luck Brand Gloves. Good luck Brand Gloves were once one of the most popular work gloves in North America. The Good Luck Glove factory of Carbondale. Illinois closed it's doors in the late 1960s. At the time when this Salesman's case was produced. The Good Luck Glove Company had a sales force of close to 2500 traveling salesmen selling a wide line of gloves to stores and factories throughout the United States. This is the type of sales sample case that most of those salesmen would have had. Many of these early cases would have been returned to the company by the ... moresalesmen for updated or upgraded later model sales cases. Very few of these cases have survived to this day. This case is in excellent Museum Quality condition with very little wear for it's age. This extremely durable case was designed for rugged travel. Constructed of heavy duty sealed fiber board with steel rivets. Steel corners, brass lock hardware, and a sturdy Bakelite handle. There are a few normal scuffs and light scratches as seen in the photos. The Good Luck Brand Logo measures 9" in Diameter and is perfectly centered on each side of the Case. A pair of black suede womens gloves. The inside of the right glove has a tag which reads: Luxuredo Washable and there is a stamped label which is not readable by me. The inside of the left glove has a stamped label which reads: 6 3/4 Superb. They are in very good condition considering their age.
