MINE SAFETY APPLIANCE HARD HAT Light Holder Vintage
Used Vintage Hard Hat from MSA. I wore one of these in the early 60s. This one is earlier. Mine had a nylon headband fastened with spring steel clips. This one is attached with cord. This looks as if it could have come from Minnesota's Iron Range. Carbide lamp would have been installed on the front. From the dirt I cleaned off and the wear. The owner was right handed and stored his hat upside down in his locker or bin. Employee( Number is scratched on the lamp fixture near the MSA mark. Two small dings on the edge not visible in the photos. Light spray paint is present. Still, a very clean example for its age.

It shows some minor wear(scratches, partial sticker on side) however there are no cracks and in great condition overall. Leather and cloth liner is in place and I assume to be original but not sure, the leather band is not in the best shape and someone used(2) small pieces of wire on each side to hold in place. We HAVE NOT tried to clean liner as you can tell it has some age, we leave cleaning to the collector. Sticker on side is only partial and you can tell where sticker is missing. markings and sticker are still in place inside, but since we did not clean inside hat we can not read. Vintage B.F. McDonald Aluminum hard hat helmet w/ leather & canvas liners
Vintage Aluminum B.F. McDonald Hard Hat. On the front inside of the hat brim is stamped Patent B.F. McDonald Co. Los Angeles. Under the Angeles is the letter L. At the opposite end of the hat is stamped on the inside brim. U.S. PATENTS 2,177,145 2,248,366 2,415,214 D118,432. The original leather liner has the word“McDonald” stamped into it and is attached to canvas liner by 2 of the 5 supports. The canvas liner is all intact, in good condition for its age. Attached to the canvas liner is a union pin which reads“Const& Genl Laborers Local 19 May- Jun 62 185 Sacramento, Calif” As you can see from pictures the has does have some flaws which can be seen clearly in all 12 pictures. This is a vintage" Superlite by Fibre Metal" alluminum hard hat. I purchased this in an estate sale and you can assume this is from the early 60's as much of the other items were. There is evidence of a paper tag inside but most of it is gone. It has a head band and semi liner made of a plastic. Rough condition vintage Vanguard Welsh hard hat. It looks like this hardhat was originally white but at some point was painted white on top of it. The paint is flaking off everywhere. I think it is quite old(pre-1970) But I really don't know how to tell. The Bethlehem Steel logo on each side shows their name written across a steel I-Beam and also includes the slogan"work safely" The logos are on each side. Neither are perfect. c.1950 Vintage "MY VALENTINE" Doll, Red Hair, Gown, Hat, 12.5" Hard Plastic, TAG
Vintage 12.5" Doll"MY VALENTINE" Original paper hang tag Hard plastic. Red hair, marked"O" on the back. Original red gown with netting apron. Matching hat, decorated with flowers in bunches along bottom of gown. Doll holds a bouquet of flowers and vintage heart hang tag"My Valentine" Underneath gown she has a matching red slip in silky fabric, panties with lace trim, white plastic shoes marked 2T on bottom. Doll has red wig hair, blue sleep eyes, red lips, hard plastic body, including frozen straight legs. She measures 12.5" tall. Hat matches gown with same netting trim and flowers. Hat ties under neck. I do not know exact age and I do not know the maker. She is likely some sort of a store doll. Condition is as you see in the photos. The netting and lace trim was probably cream color when originally ... moremade and it has now faded to look more like tan. Red hair wig a bit messy and top back section a bit thin so you see plastic head. I pulled hair over to cover up most of the bare spot. With hat on you don't see it. Doll has some soil marks here and there. But no water stains and no large rips. The main thing is the cream netting, trim and flowers have the age wear and fade, discoloration. Not new and not perfect. Doll has some strings, fray on edges of clothes and hat here and there. Please be sure you are ok with condition"as is" being sold as was found. This is an interesting item. Offered is what I believe to be a WWII Civil Defense Engineer Helmet. This military Hard Hat is made of steel. There are outer and inner cloth straps with a leather section. All are complete and in very nice condition. The head size is adjustable. Under the visor is stamped: U.S. Gov't Property O.C.D. Mc" Although there is a minor ding and a couple of areas of paint loss. I don't think anyone could find a vintage helmet in better condition. Perhaps a special find for you or any collector.
