Vintage American Made Bullard Hard Boiled Aluminum Safety Hat w Original Liner
Vintage Bullard Hard Boiled Aluminum Safety Hat"hard hat" with Original Liner. It has a few small dings on top. It is dirty I did not clean it. Liner is in great condition. In photos I show how the liner attaches to the inside of the hat. The liner is in perfect shape and all the metal attachment are good condition. The hat does not have paper tag inside. Steve is written on front in black pen that could be removed with some Goof Off or a de-greaser. This version of Bullard Hard Hat has six rivets used to hold the inner liner and three other slightly larger rivets maybe used to secure a miners light. It has three creases on top designed to add strength to the metal.

N otice the shine on the plastic the clean leather head band and elastic chinstrap attached to the adjustable suspension. The piece is in a dark tan-puddy-beige"Nude" color that looks almost new. The inner band of this h ard hat adjusts to fit 6-3/4 to 7-1/2 sized skulls. Inside the shell is a large paper label with workman logo to inform reader that the hat is covered by patents* and meets all EEI* specifications; AP-1-1961. And ASA specification Z2.1 section 5.1(Class B) There is also a small white price tag size production sticker indicating its manufacture to January 1967 by shift 3. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Vintage B.F. McDonald Hard Hat Aluminum Logging C.L. Fargo Engineer Oregon This hard hat has 2 stamps on it that are faintly visible. They look like postmarks. It looks to me like they say, from top to bottom: Registered Professional- Engineer- Oregon- May 7 1949- C. L. Fargo" The date might be 1960s's instead of 1940, it is difficult to read for sure. I believe this is one of the earlier models since it says Patents Pending and only has three patent numbers instead of four like many others on eBay. Some of these sell for upwards of $70 on eBay, but have not seen one with identifying stamps like this one has. Nice used condition. Please see pictures and use zoom/close-up feature to determine if the condition is to your satisfaction. Used/vintage clothing items have not been washed. I would recommend proper cleaning ... morebefore use. Returns are not accepted for minor flaws on used/vintage items. My camera does not always capture the exact shade of color properly.
