Vintage ancestor type wood carving
11 1/2 inches high. A primitive wood carving. I do not know the wood, it may be an ancestor piece. There are some light cracks, could be age or just the wood. Good as is condition per photographs. I am pretty sure it is from Oceania as I bought at a garage sale and the other pieces were from that area. Screws included to hang. Seems like oak? Stained. Neat little box container on the bottom. Gold or brass accents. Cord is connected to the wall unit and the receiver. The receiver is missing the black cover cap. I have not tried it. Believe it or not we don't have a land line anymore. No other problems that I can see. Wood is good. Dial etc. Good to great. My Dad was a huge fan of the Betamax format when it first came out. We had loads of movies in Beta format. A Betamax camcorder, and carried the Betamax banner proudly. Many of our childhood home videos were filmed on that Beta camcorder, but we really didn't worry too much because we had a nice little Beta VCR that we could always use to watch them when we wanted to. Fast forward to about 5 years ago. The family Beta VCR broke a long time ago. And I got wildly nostalgic all of a sudden. WHY DID DAD GET GO WITH THE BETA FORMAT? I cried aloud, shaking my fists at the sky. I hopped on eBay and looked for a time machine that I could use to travel back to the early 80s and convince my Dad to go with the VHS format. but having turned up zero search results, I went with the next best thing: THIS Betamax beauty. Up for auction is a Rare Detrola Tube Radio Model 4J from 1933 the Model 4j is mostly found in a Mini Cathedral Cabinet. very rare antique handmade wood brass wine bottle barrel type decanter old
This is a very rare antique handmade wood and brass wine bottle. it is in the style of a wine barrel and has tapered cuts which made it air tight at one point. there are many individual pieces of wooden strips and are held together by nicely riveted brass bands. it has a nice patina from age and measures 12 3/4 inches tall by 3 1/4 inches in diameter. it isnt missing any wooden pieces but is missing the two bottom bands. very rare. Rare Victor Talking Machine Type V With Large Wood Oak Spear Tip Horn
Very collectible Victor Phonograph Talking Machine phonograph with original wooden horn. It is in untouched condition as I found it many years ago at an estate sale. The cabinet has never been touched but is in great shape. No breaks. Chips or gouges in the wood cabinet. It is heavy and built like a tank. The horn is also original with no repairs, breaks or pieces missing. Some of the veneer seams on the horn have dried and will need to be re glued. A few seams in the large bell area and some strips towards the narrow end but it would be an easy fix for any restorer. Looks good and functions great as is. No missing or repaired veneer pieces that I could find. I never touched or tried to refinish the cabinet or horn because I understand improper restorations on these can devalue them. The machine plays great. It will play through many, many ... morerecords after it is wound. Best sounding wind up phonograph player that I have ever owned. The wood piece on the wind up handle is worn, looks like it was chewed on(see photos) You can see some of the original gold engraving on the arm that holds the horn but it is faint. The speed stops and adjust as it supposed to. The motor is very quiet, no thumping or any noises. I think I bought it from the daughter of the original owner. My research shows it is a V-V which is what it reads on its brass plate. It has a removable board under the turn table which the V-V also had. The bottom of the base is almost 16 and half inches wide. My shipping charge is an estimate, if it is less I will refund you the difference. It will be shipped in two separate boxes. The horn will require a very large box. You are welcome to pick it up or have me take it to the shipper of your choice. I pack very well. I pack an item how I would want it packed if I was the buyer.
