It is in the way of a construction/demolition project I am in the process of doing. There are other print shop items I will be listing too in the next couple days, so check out my other auctions. This is in a print shop that closed down a few years ago. There is no power or water to the building, so I can't test anything. These journals are 9/16" diameter with the spring loaded ball towards the end and two sets of stakes to fit the truck. From our research on the net. They appear to be the old style Kluge journal. They are 21-3/4" overall with a 16-1/2" roller face and 1-1/2' diameter. This is an orphan set of rollers from out of the warehouse. I'm sure the press is around here somewhere! Kluge printing press instruction and operation manuals and parts book
I do not know how old these are but I have been told the press I got them with is from the 1930's. There is one small piece that has been cut out of one manual and it is shown. These are used and have some scribbling but are in usable shape The operation manual is obviously a photocopy. The other two are original. The press I got these with has no dates on any of the castings but it appears to be the same vintage as the ones pictured in the manuals. The only number I find stamped on the press is on the pump on top and is N122518 if that means anything to anyone. Information welcomed on this. I bought the press to use it for steampunk projects so I do not need the manuals.
