He retired in the 1980's and saved several of the Regular and Super 76 Vinyl Signs from his gas station. He passed away a few years ago and I came across this vinyl sign and several others while going through his effects. I was unable to give it a date of manufacture. But I would assume it is from the 1960's. The St. Paul 1. Minn. On the protective top sheet, might give a clue as to it's vintage. This vinyl sign is approximately 8 1/2 inches wide and 12 inches tall. The first photo shows the protective covering removed. This protective front face of the vinyl sign has the following words printed(in various locations) on the face of the protective sheet: IMPORTANT- REMOVE TAPE BY PULLING DIRECTLY BACK UPON ITSELF 180 ... moreDEGREES- Re-Squeegee Emblem- Especially Edges" For use as a carrier for premasking"SCOTCHCAL" brand film and"SCOTCHLITE" Brand Reflective Sheeting. 3M brand- APPLICATION TAPE" 3M Reflective Products Division Minnesota Mining& Manufacturing Co. This auction is for a very large Pacers sign. It displays Boom Baby and the Pacers"P" It is roughly 19' x 4' and is made out of heavy duty vinyl. It has metal grommets along the edges to hang it. I'm not sure how old it is but it is vintage. It is definitely one of a kind and would look great in a man cave. The vinyl is in good condition but there are areas where the blue paint has come off as you can see in the pictures. Overall it is a very cool one of a kind piece of sports memorabilia.
