WELCOME TO MY AUCTION- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND STUDY PICTURES I have for auction a vintage original rock glass and wrought iron table lamp. Due to the style of the base could also be installed the other way up so would also make a nice hall or porch light, this dates from the 1950s and made by Peter Marsh, Birmingham although unsigned, not all were stamped. The light is made of wrought iron with coloured rocks of glass mounted in with thick lead. The lamp stands on a square base with 4 circular rubber feet, the light has an additional four holes to the base so could be hung the other way up. The light has a short wire which I have put a plug on to show it working, this will be removed. Due to age and safety of the light I would recommend getting is checked ... moreout by a qualified electrican. These lamps are becoming more desirable and harder to find. It is made of a brass wash color finish(not brass) on a pot metal(a cast of melted mixed metals and alloys) base with its ORIGINAL pleated light cardboard shade. The original finish is in good condition with expected minor flaws from use and age. the wiring is good. The cardboard shade is sweet. Estate Antique 3 Light Figural Table Lamp With Art Glass Shades Refurbished
For your consideration is this estate auctioned beautiful antique figural 3 light table lamp with rose shape art glass shades. This old lamp needed work to be in nice acceptable condition and was completly refurbished and restored. This lamp with a spelter metal figurine of a sower and his mate was refinished. Wooden base marked"Germany" was repainted and new felt under the base installed, old wiring with a switch on the wire was replaced with new wiring, a new 3 way switch was added on the lamps base for easy reach, and loose leafs secured. 3 way on/off switch on the base can turn on the middle light bulb alone. Or the two on the sides only, or all 3 light bulbs. This lamp is now in very good. Nice, and working condition, The beautiful art glass rose shape shades are unique, but one shade had a small flake or chip on one petal, ... moreand was restored with little opaque epoxy, you can maybe see it on the middle light shade in the back of the light bulb, looks little yellowish, pic#4 and#12.
