Here we offer a vacuum tube radio that's assembled as a clock and table lamp too. The specific model is unknown however this was made by Philco! The has tubes but the power cord needs replaced. We did repair the broken splice to test it and indeed it powered on and the radio played when plugged in. The clock ran and kept time but note the alarm function has not been tested. The lamp socket on top is a bit loose but it still operates turning on and off as expected. While everything appears functioning this is offered as~is for parts. Repair or collection. The finish on the wood cabinet is peeling off and showing age wear but the cabinet itself is in good condition. Has a Telechron marked clock ... moreon the upper portion of the cabinet that has a red face and deco style block numerals on the hour marks on the brass surround. Note the stud on the on/off is broken off flush with the clock face but it does include the knob. The cloth speaker cover is intact as are the radio control knobs on either side of the lower corners. Dial scale is beneath that and it's intact and the pointer moves when the tuning knob is rotated. The white plastic lamp base is intact and has slots on either side for a harp to be fitted so you can attach a lamp shade. Note it does wobble back a forth. This measures 6 x 6 x 17 tall to the top of the light socket. We would love to hear from you if you can help ID this specific model. Vtg Extra Tall *40 INCH Mid Century Table Lamp Danish Modern Teak & Brass Light
Mid Century Lamp This table lamp is a well crafted with great lines. It's mid century with a danish modern feel. It stands tall at 40 INCHES! The lamp is brass and wood. Not sure if the wood is teak or walnut. It was very well made, with attention to detail. Even the power switch is an interesting design element. The on/ off chain is attached to a round wood sphere that incircles the brass rod of the lamp. To turn the lamp on and off, you pull on the round wooden piece. I've shown this in close-up in the pictures. The tall wooden piece that extends up from the lamp, is dove-tailed into the wood of the base(also shown close-up) Near the top of the tall wood piece is a small bracket to hold the shade in place(see pictures) The base is 8 inches in daimeter, and very well weighted to account for the height of the lamp. Overall the lamp ... moreis in excellent condition. The wood has no damage or scratches. The shade looks to be original and still has the plastic, from when it was bought. Therefore it looks to be well protected and clean. The shade is 8 inches in diameter and about 24 inches tall. The brass on the base is shiny and scratch free. this is a rare very large antique Art Deco bronze and cast iron electric table lamp. very early. Patent applied for# E 334. it has exquisite ornate detailing. And extremely heavy. the base and shaft are made from solid cast iron with stunning detailing in high relief. it has a very long solid shaft with intricate finishing pieces. it has two wonderfully swirled bronze arms. Each holding a single generic size bulb, with dripping candle socket covers. the shade is handmade from real shell and has a nice gold gilt skeleton, it is a very nice shape for this style shade. Very well made. the very large solid cast iron finial is absolutely gorgeous with nice cut out detailing. it works great and measures 31 3/4 inches tall by 15 inches wide.
