The date on the Silver seal is 1956. Both Seals measure 4" tall to top of handle& 4 1/8" long. have. Each Weighs apprx 1 1/2 lbs. These would make a nice decorative display on a shelf or desk in an office. Very nice collectible items. Obviously the seals are old so they look that way. Large. Cast iron or forged steel FOIL EMBOSSER, by FRANKLIN MFG Corp. Embosser is mounted on a wooden base. Heating element works, Thermometer goes up to 500 degrees, but when I plugged it in, it heated up to the sizzling point, but the needle on the thermometer only went up to about the middle of the 200 degree range. I left it on for about 10 minutes, and it didn't seem to get any hotter. I do not know how hot this is supposed to get, but it never left the 200 degree range. So I am not sure if it is working as it should, or maybe it needs to be left on for a longer period of time. SIZE: BASE is 15 3/4" by 7 3/8" The embosser itself it about 14" high. With handle in the HORIZONTAL position. About 14" front to back with handle horizontal. CONDITION: As mentioned above. Concerning the heating.
