Kwik-Print 2x9 Type Holder & Heater for Model 55/64/86 Hot Foil Stamper Embosser
This is a Kwik Print 2"x9" Type Holder that can be used on the Model 55/64/86 Hot Foil Stamping presses. It was removed from a unit that was damaged in shipping. The type holder is in good condition and comes with a heating element attached along with a heat control unit. All movements on the type holder are super smooth. I cleaned it thoroughly and made sure it's in great operating condition. The yoke on the type holder(the silver piece that attaches to the press) is in fair shape- there's some wear on the pin where the screw holds it in place and from what I remember, it may need to be re-tapped as the threads where the foil-feed attach were tight. A new type-holder from Kwik-Print will cost upwards of $600 without a heater! The heating element and controller are working. I purchased this Custom Card Systems CCS 200 as part of a government surplus lot. I was able to purchase all the necessary parts to get it back to 100% functionality. I have 9 blank cards that will go with the unit. I have 1 card blank that I tested the functionality with as you can see in the photos. The machine itself is used. It had another item loosely packaged on top of it which marred up the paint on the case as you can see in the photos. This can easily be sanded and spray painted if you feel the need to clean up the outside further. The only issue this unit has is a missing rubber foot that goes on the bottom of it. These are just rubber feet that get pushed into the bottom of the unit and could honestly be replaced with 4 stick on ones. Rare Old Jumbo Size Cast Iron Paper Seal Embosser Press
This auction is for a rare vintage(or antique) jumbo size cast iron paper seal embosser hand press. I believe its at least circa 1930's as the embossing die in it is for the" National Institute of Public Affairs" A federal agency that existed from 1935 to 1949. However, we are not exactly sure of the embosser's age. It's in outstanding condition, being finished in high gloss black with some gold trim. It is very solidly manufactured and seems to be in perfect working order. The embosser is jumbo size. Being 14.5 inches high, 10.5 inches long, and 3 inches wide. It dwarfs regular sized embossers. It's very heavy, weighing about 17 pounds and appears and feels to be made of cast iron. The seal presently on the embosser still works great, and presses(on paper) the name of the agency around the outside of the seal with ... morea large eagle in the middle(see photo) The pictures are of the actual press for sale. Franklin Mfg Signet Embossing Machine Embosser Vintage Works!
This is a really cool old Franklin Signet electric embossing machine. It comes with a drawer full of type set. And a small roll of the foil stuff that it uses to imprint. The base is wood and has really nice dovetail joints as does the drawer. It starts heating immediately when turned on, and has several heat settings. This particular machine was used to put room numbers on key fobs.there are some of the rings still in the drawer. There is a foil label on the front that says American Hotel Register Company. This is a really cool and historical piece that can still be used today! Please look closely at all of the pics as I am not at all familiar with this machine. And have no way to know if everything is there.it comes with everything you see, including the dust.it is just as I discovered it. Cast Iron Lion Figure Notary Seal Embosser I have seen this embosser lion design with seals dating back to the 1800's This is a true antique and over 100 years old The design provides what is known as a registered emboss. There is a positive and negative metal plate used to create the clear image on paper This embosser is about 10 and 1/2 inches tall with the lever in the up position. The emboss for this one prints: The Piltzer Benevolent Association Organized Feb 27. 1911 Per The Museum of Family History Website. We are a non-profit organization and this was donated to us. It has been really interesting. Researching this seal. Included will be a long article about the ANTI-HORSE THEIF ASSOCIATION. The article is from an OLD publication. The group was organized in 1854. This seal if from the Kansas association which existed in 1903. That is the best I could do on the date of the seal. It could be from a later date. The back of the seal has some"scuff" marks, but it works. What a Steal"
