I believe it is solid bronze due to the weight and the fact that it does not magnetize as cast iron would. The seal measures about 4 inches long and stands about 3 inches tall. Vintage Stationary Embosser -Limited, Hilary Hotel
For sale is a very old cast iron paper embosser. It measures 6 3/4 x 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches and is very ornate. The embosser produces a stamp that reads Hilary Hotel around the circle and the word. Limited in the center.It is in very good condition for it's age but has some minor paint loss. I feel that this does not take away from it's looks. Description: This antique Roovers Embosser Label Maker is clean and in pretty nice condition considering its age. All of the moving parts seem to operate smoothly and I am including an 11ft. roll of aluminum adhesive tape. The first couple of pics show the sample label that I created. The labeler uses the same 1/2" tape that the modern Dymo version uses(Model 101105) One thing I did notice is that it appears to be missing one of the front screws that holds the cutting blade in place(see pic#8) One thing that I found cool was the original owner/factory name is lightly engraved onto the handle. Some may think that this detracts from the value. But I think that it adds a pretty neat touch of history to this particular piece. I believe this piece is circa 1950’s or 1960’s.
