Challenge Hydraulic Paper Cutter model 265, good condition.
This listing is for a Challenge Style 265 Hydraulic Paper Cutter in good overall condition but we were unable to test it with the 220V plug it came with(see last photo) It has a 26 1/2" inch max width. 26.5" maximum depth and a 3 1/4" stack height with the present blade which looks to be in good condition- sharp, no noticeable nicks. The manual presser and depth stop move smoothly and easily. Though toward the maximum depth the worm screw could use some grease. There is very little surface rust on the table. In fact on the entire machine, and there is no leaked hydraulic fluid around the cylinder or pump, but again we could not test it and so cannot guarantee that everything is working as it should. However, these are very well made cutters and fairly simple in design so any issues should be easily fixed by the buyer. Freight ... morecosts will vary. Our father passed away and left his trophy and engraving company to me and my 2 siblings. In the back of the building we found this machine somewhat hidden from view behind a bunch of shelves(hence the pictures you see here) Its a Challenge Advance Guillotine Manual Paper Cutter. This was made by Challenge Machinery in Chicago and the company has been around since the late 1800s. The machine is 300 miles away back home. So I am not 100% sure on the specific model# yet(it appears there may have been a few) Regardless, I am assuming someone in the know will comfortably identify this machine and make it theirs. Very Nice shear and worked flawlessly. It is inside a climate controlled shop and is still under power but being used. It is available for inspection with notice too. It will come with 1 set of new blades as spares. Equipment has not been run for 1 year due to the death of the owner/operator.
