I believe this to be a Sigwalt 4" x 6" Non Pareil. If there is a number or name I don't see it. The round base had me thinking a Golding but I found this in a printer's basement on the south side of Chicago. Home of Sigwalt. Light surface rust as shown. Handle moves easily and comes with the chase. Someone covered it in gold at one time. A restoration project to make it look pretty, but the pros on printing presses do rave about Sigwalts and many prefer them over Kelseys. Great looking vintage antique Kelsey 3" x 5" tabletop printing press for cards, postcards, letters. The piece dates to the latter part of the 1800s and has the appropriate look and patina. This is the smallest tabletop press that Kelsey made. It is missing a few parts, including some springs and a round ink plate. There may also be other parts not with the machine; I just don't know what is supposed to be with it. I will let those of you who know these pieces to assess its state and condition from the many photos. The overall mechanism of pushing down on the lever and things moving smoothly in synch seems to be working well. I know these are sought after by many and are getting harder ... moreto find. ANTIQUE MACHINERY PART MAYBE FROM PRINTING PRESS
This is a heavy cast iron piece of machinery part from. We think, an old printing press. It has 5 spring loaded moveable arms or levers with holes in them that stick out from one side and on the opposite side there are“fingers” that are also moveable but not spring loaded. There is a bar across the top that is also moveable and it is spring loaded too. Cast into the top panel is“PAT DEC 23 1878” and below that“IMP,D JAN 1890” We are not sure that it actually says“DEC” because what would be the“E” is a block shape but, it makes sense. It measures approximately 4” across. 3.75 from back to front and 2.25 tall. It weighs 1 lb. 4 oz. What is it? A conversation piece. That’s what!

Antique MM Keltons Intaglio Printing Press
This gorgeous old press is in good condition. Works fine. Right now. To move it, the rollers and bed are off but I photographed them. It is a M M Keltons& Sons Press. I found information on it on the International Printing Museum Site(printmuseum.org) and I quote"This kind of press was used to print intaglio plates such as wedding announcements. Engraving presses of this style are not much used for commercial work today and have been adopted by artists for printing etchings. This press was manufactured by M. M. Keltons& Son. New York, in the late nineteenth century and is very little different from copperplate presses used in Rembrandt’s time. I used the press for monoprints. Woodcuts, etchings. The Wheel is absolutely perfect and gives it charm. The Cast Iron legs are shapely too. It has a side tray with three compartments ... morewhich can be removed as well. It has a D roller. The underside of the bed is curved(see photos) Of course on top of the photographed bed sit the rollers(different photo) and then the curved corner bed/plate. It is HEAVY. It is currently sitting on a rolling cart. It can come apart with a handy wrench and some serious strength for lifting parts. Measurements: Overall height(not including wheel) is 50 inches. the roller adjustment is midway) The overall length(leg to leg) is 44 inches x 24 wide. The height of legs alone are 30 1/2 inches to the bottom of the bed. The three section shelf is 27 long and 14 wide. The D roller is 15 1/2 long. The curve is 12 inches and the flat side is 5 inches. The rollers sit on the platform with curved bottom and it is 28 inches long and 22 wide. The curved corner press bed is 1 1/2 thick(solid) 34 long and 15 1/4 wide. The rollers are 21 long x 4 1/2 x 14. The spokes on the wheel are 30 inches to center. overall: 60" Although this is a perfect printer. For auction is this fascinating antique brass and wood printing press plate used for printing newspaper advertisements. I have owned this piece for over 40 years and forget where I purchased the piece and what the history of it is. Nevertheless. As you can see, it is a press plate that was once used in a printing press. This press plate has always been displayed on my office shelf ever since I brought it home. The press plate is constructed out of solid brass and what appears to me as being a solid piece of Oak wood. The brass plated is nailed down tight atop a perfectly cut and matched piece of hard(Oak) wood. The plate measures approximately 7.50" in length. 5/8" in width and 7/8" in height. Antique for printing picture with old style printing press; copper mounted on wood. It probably dates from the early 1900s. Possibly earlier. It was used in printing with a printing press the old way by rollers putting ink on the cut and the printing press pressing it against paper. Picture shows scene of field with flowers. Fence, buildings in distance, and person standing in field. Extremely detailed, possibly produced by etching. Measurements: type-high(or 7/8 inch) copper = 3.25 inches x 15/16 inch. Much used but fully functional. No functional defects. In accompanying photo. Top shows copper cut, bottom shows actual printing with green ink(coarse paper reduced quality of print; would be better on smooth paper) It was used competently and so still delivers a sharp picture. Antique 1866 Hopkinson & Cope Albion Printing Press Main Shaft - Civil War Era
This auction is for the main shaft. Which would hold the top plate, of an Improved Albion Printing Press. It is dated 1866. The Albion press is the invention of Richard W. Cope who is thought to have assisted George Clymer. Maker of the Columbian press. Cope’s press shows little of Clymer’s influence. Cope eliminated bizarre decoration, used a toggle instead of a beam for leverage, and employed a spring instead of a counterweight to raise the platen. Cope died in 1828. Only eight years after the introduction of his press. J. J. Barrett were Cope’s executors and carried on his business under the direction of John Hopkinson, Cope’s foreman. It is free from cracks and breaks. It came from an old closed architectural salvage company. What happened to the rest of the machine is unknown. It weighs about 125- 150 pounds. Free local pick up. 1617 Model Antique Gutenberg Printing Press Scale Mechanical Salesmans Sample
This is a neat Vintage 1617 Model Antique Gutenberg Printing Press Scale Mechanical Salesmans Sample. I don't know much about this neat printing press. Other than what I have seen on line, so you experts hopefully will know more than I and bid for what you know. I am not sure of the age, but it does look to be older. This is what I have seen others say about this press, Scale model of the 1617 Model of the Gutenberg Printing Press. Looks like a salesman's sample but I have no idea how old this is or for what purpose it was made. Probably for display or teaching" Made of wood and lower hand crank works and advances the printing block forward and back. The other lever does nothing, other than you can push the threads across till it hits the side and it is just stuck in place. This is a small sized printing press that appears to have been used as a fully functioning salesman sample of some sort. This printing press operates exactly the same as it older counterpart. It still retains the majority of its original black finish with very minimal areas of loss and wear. ANTIQUE LETTERPRESS PRINTING PRESS SIGWALT SIDE LEVER ROUND BASE no 25 7X10
Hello and welcome- Up for bid is an antique Sigwalt Nonpariel? letterpress. Printing press, in working condition. I'm not an expert, but will do my best to describe it.and questions are welcome, as well as other photos, just ask what you'd like me to take a picture of, and I'll email it to you. I think it's an early Sigwalt Nonpariel, from the limited research I've done(thank you Briar Press) It is working- the stirrup handle. Side lever pulls down smoothly, and advances the disc with an arm that engages and moves while the lever moves, and the two rectangular surfaces come together- The inking disc is 10" in diameter, and the place where you put the type is 7" x 10" measured to the outside) In one of the pix a 12" ruler is placed across the platen and you can see that it is 10" wide. You'll ... morehave to get your own rollers and trucks. Also. One of the roller supports is missing the spring that runs along it. Not sure what else you'll need- maybe a chase? There is a raised number 25 in numerous places- 25 B. 25 D, 25 S, etc. I think the letter stands for the part, and the number is the model number. Round base and side lever with a stirrup handle make this an early Sigwalt. I think. The stirrup handle still has the original wood and there is much original paint and decals. I think the metallic decals have hand painted accents in colors such as green and red. Both sides have the same flourishing decals, and there is some pin striping visible in parts. It has some grease and grime on much of it. But I think this preserved it from rusting. I cleaned some of it, and some of the rust off the disc(green scrubby) and it looks like a smooth, clear surface. The greasy grime comes off easily enough with elbow grease and a soft cotton cloth dipped in alcohol. I used a green scubby and rubbing alcohol in some areas, and this removed the grease without damaging the paint. I didn't proceed further because I really don't want to disturb anything original, in case the new

Antique Miniature Table Top Printing Press Cast Iron - 1800s Salesman Sample?
Antique Table Top Card Printing Press This little vintage printing press is from the 1800's. It's made of heavy cast iron- no model or maker's mark that I can find. There is some paint loss and crazing to the finish. But it is still sturdy and parts move easily. NOTE: I'm not sure that it's a salesman sample- so please be aware that I am NOT selling it as such. If you have any information about this piece. Please feel free to share. If it's not a salesman sample. I believe it might have been used for printing calling cards of the kind that people in the 19th century used. Much as we use business cards today. The shape of the blotter area seems to indicate that. Measurements: Base is about 7 1/4" L x 5 1/2" W. The part I think is the inking pad is a 3" x 2" rectangle.
