PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE BUTTER PRESS* This is a charming old Butter Press dating from the late 1800 to early 1900s. The hand-carved& lathe turned wood has been worn smooth as velvet and features a warm rich patina. The press measures 4 inches tall with the plunger down(6 inches tall with plunger pulled up) The mold cup diameter is 3.75 inches at the base and the cup height is 3.25 inches. I believe the wood to be maple. There is a crack part of the way down the cup side but the crack is tight and not open. There are a 3 or 4 spots of old dried paint that have been partially rubbed off. The plunger appears to be hand carved and the plunger stamp features a folk art geometric styled flower. This early primitive wooden butter press is a wonderful piece of Americana. Gorgeous patina. Some minor wear and loads of character. The old timer who passed made lures and spoons for decades in our area. I actually made the two samples you see in the pictures, using 25 ga sheet metal. I understand he used a small arbor press to punch out the spoons, all I had was a hammer but it worked well and they punched out easily. He used brass, aluminum and sheet metal. Very Nice Antique Hoole Machine& Engraving Works Bookbinder Hand Press Tool I found this very old Hoole bookbinding hand press tool at an estate sale. It's in amazing condition for it's age. I didn't know what it was until I researched it and found Hoole Machine& Engraving Works were the most prolific bookbinding toolmakers of their day. They were established in 1932 and stayed in business until 1911 in Brooklyn N.Y. This is Hoole hand stamp No.1407. I found this information out on a website of the Davistown Museum. They have a chart showing the different hand stamps that Hoole made. I believe the metal is bronze as it's non-ferrous and doesn't attract to a magnet. Antique German Deer Butter Mold Mould Buttermold Print Press Stamp Form Stag
I was told this wonderful old butter mold is from a family that lived in Nuremburg. Germany. It has seen a LOT of use. Scrubbing after each molding is probably what has worn down the edges to what you see now. It was obviously much loved by the butter molder of the family. The design is no longer crisp and clearly defined. Although you can tell the subject is that of a standing, antlered stag with one leg lifted up. There is one small worm hole in the top outer edge near the handle. One on the outer side wall, one on the top inside wall, and two more on opposite edges of the the mold walls(at roughly ten and three o'clock when looking at the deer) These do not appear to be active. The mold is in very sturdy condition with no cracks going through the wood. Although it does have fine lines along the grain of the wood, as is expected in ... moreold wood of this type. Width at widest point is 5.25 inches. Measuring from outer edge to outer edge below the feet and above the antlers. From left to right is 5 inches wide, as the wood is out of round. This also is a sign of older wood items. The side walls are approximately 1/2 inch thick. From bottom edge to top of handle is 2 7/8 inches tall.

Dri Print Roller Hot Stamper for hot stamp foil. Last used to roll foil onto corner moldings and trim pieces for medical cabinets. Can also be used for long. Narrow plastic parts that need tipping off of raised areas with colored or metalic foils. The roller is a silicone rubber that can be replaced to different shapes or widths for different parts. Order from any hot stamp machine supplier. Same with the foils. Solid colors, metalics, woodgrains, etc. Uses a variable speed dc motor for the drive of the heated rollers, air cylinder for the up and down of the roller head.
