Up for bids is a Traverse Gear Case Assembly. Part# 10F-11X for a Atlas or Atlas/ Craftsman 10" or 12" lathe in great condition. Included is the Gear Case, part# 10F-11; Shaft, part# 9-68; Gear, part# 9-102-12S; and Gear, part# 9-102-24. There are no chipped teeth, very minimal wear on the gears, the brown in the photos is grease and toning, no rust. This came off a 10" Atlas Lathe Model H-42, but will fit a 10" TH36, TH42, or H36 model Atlas lathes, a 12" Atlas lathe or Atlas/ Craftsman Model 101.07403, 101.27430, 101.27440. Sears Craftsman 6 x 18 Metal& Wood Lathe One of the cleanest combination lathes I have seen in a long time. Almost spotless. Hardly any rust. Paint in very good condition. I think its a 1/2 x 20 thread spindle. Solid bearing in front tightens up OK. Rear bearing has a hint? of play. Takes a 1/2" or 3/8" belt. Lathe has dings& dents indicative of its age. The wood tool rest bolts on(or off) and holds two different length bar rests. Tailstock has a deadcenter quill and locking handle that does not appear to be stock. Comes with 4" chuck BUT this is an old Whiton chuck that are known to throw Jaws due to the smooth bore thread system. The steel faceplate is nice but the chuck is garbage(to me) and therefore has no value in this auction. Lathe is sold in"AS-IS" condition. That said. MILL DRILL SEARS CRAFTSMAN 109 ATLAS 6" TAIG SHERLINE AA DUNLAP LATHE & OTHERS
MILL/ DRILL For Sears Craftsman 109. 6" Atlas, or other similar size lathes. PLEASE NOTE: Auction is for the MILL/DRILL only and does not include the lathe. Motor or mill table. These units are scarce and this one is in excellent shape. Mill spindle is mounted in bearings that are"like new" with no slop whatsoever and turns smoothly. Quill also moves up and down smoothly but very firm. There is no return spring like on a drill press. The quill tension is adjusted with 2 nuts and a wave washer. You can adjust the tension from none to so hard you can hardly move the quill. The black knob on the right side of the head is a quill lock. And will lock the quill in any position from fully seated to about 2" down in depth. There is a depth stop on the left hand side of the head that uses a steel scale for depth adjustment that ... morehas both 1/32” and 1/64” scales. The entire Mill head will move up and down to adjust the height in relative position to the cross slide on the lathe. At the highest position(about 16" high) there is about 4.5" from the top of the cross slide to the bottom of the mill chuck. At the lowest position. The mill chuck will go all the way down to the lathe bed. You can see from the photos that a mill table bolts to the top of the 109 cross slide. Again. The mill table is not included in this auction. They are hard to find, so you will have to make something on your own if you can’t find one, or you can modify a mill vice to directly bolt to your cross slide. Also note that the Craftsman 109.21270 has a completely different cross slide system, so you are on your own if you have this lathe. Mill has a round flange at the bottom for bolting adjacent to your lathe. The mill chuck is BRAND NEW and mounts on the mill’s JT33 tapered spindle. The handle knob is not stock as the originals had round knobs as far as I know. The original motor was attached on a swing type mount on the left side of the head(you can still see the motor mount pin on the left) but I needed the motor for my

96 Tooth change gear from a 9" Atlas Craftsman metal lathe. This gear has a 3/4" ID bore and an ~0.33" thick center hub. My understating is that this is thinner than the center hub on the 10" or 12" lathes but that these gears will also work with those lathes. You might need to fabricated a spacer for that application. I was advised by a respectable ebayer that this is for an Atlas 6692 collet closer made by"Royal" which is still in business in NY. He says there where 3 closers for the Atlas Craftsman lathes. Hope this helps! The linkages are almost always missing when you find the levers. The adjustment cog is another item that rarely seems to be with the lever mechanism. The linkage IS for craftsman atlas and does fit to the headstock type shown in the photo. The cog or adjustment ring has a 3/4 through hole. Hope this is of use to someone! Any questions? Vintage Atlas/ Craftsman 108.22921 Continuous Power Hacksaw( Horizontal Metal Band saw) Unit does run smoothly and cuts steel but has a couple issues. The Hydraulic Cylinder that slowly lowers the bandsaw while cutting leaks and only lasts a couple times after filling it up before it pukes most of its oil on the ground. I assume the seal is bad inside. When it is full it steadily lowers the bandsaw better than any spring counterweight type I have seen. The hydraulic cylinder will need to be repaired or replaced. The Clamp that holds the piece being cut will pop out and release if you do not hold it down while cutting. I assume that the mechanism is worn. The clamp will need to be repaired/ replaced. I believe that it is on its original stand since the blade package I ONCE had shows the same saw sitting on the same stand. The motor Mount is ... morenot original. It has been added along with a support bar in the middle. This band saw was made in the 40's I believe and is in pretty good shape considering. I repainted it years ago when I purchased it. A really good friend of mine gave me a Keller power hacksaw and has replaced this band saw in my shop. I do not need it any more and would love to see an atlas collector pick it up and show it some TLC. Saw is sold AS-IS and does have the listed problems. There may be cosmetic or other problems I am unaware of. Please Do your best to judge condition from pictures. Please Make arrangements with me prior to purchase regarding pickup. Fully adjustable brackets for building countershafts on small metal lathes like the Craftsman 109. Wood lathes and other machines. Just a simple cone pulley. Two shaft collars and a 1/2 steel shaft is all that is needed. The tops of the bearings have oil cups for lubrication of the shaft. The brackets are adjustable vertically as well as horizontally and can even be angled to some degree. Long shafts can also be used for a line shaft arrangement to power multiple machines with one motor.
