Stainless Steel Liquid Salt Brine Plant NO RESERVE AUCTION! Highest bidder gets it! We purchased 2 of these units from a municipality. We are keeping one of them and selling the other. The unit shown is the one for sale. I have been told it is about 8-10 years old. If you don't know much about making salt brine from rock salt. There is alot of information on the internet but essentially, this unit will allow you to significantly reduce the amount of salt applied by pre-wetting salt or by pre-treating parking lots prior to snow. It is also significantly cheaper to make salt brine than to buy liquid calcium chloride or well brine and have it delivered. This unit would sell new for $ 30.000- $ 40,0000 This unit will need to be gone through. Its likely the motor isn't working and possibly even the pump. A few valves will need to be replaced ... morealso. My guess is you may spend $ 800- 1500 in new parts to make it perfect. All parts can be sourced locally(you do not need to go to the manufacturer for them! For the price you will get this for. You will be way cheaper than new and have a really nice plant. This is a stainless steel hopper, very sturdy! There are many plastic units out there that are not really going to hold up in the long run. One touch of a loader bucket and a plastic tank is going to crack. HARDER STAINLESS STEEL ELECTRIC SALT SPREADER
This unit is in very good condition. The only damage it has been repaired(welded) is the skirt around the auger where it has been backed into a couple of snow piles. This is strictly cosmetic and has no impact on how the unit runs. There are some scratches along the sides where we have lifted the spreader on and off of our truck with our Bobcat. We put three ton of salt in this with the extra wooden sides as well. There are two motors that go with the sale. This spreader has been extremely reliable for us the past 9 years. This set was a gift, has been used- the small crock was displayed on a table top w/ other related items around 4th of July last year. It was on display for about 6 weeks. Other than that the set has not been used at all; it's been in storage since then. The crock measures 5" diameter, is 3.5" high. The spreader measures 6.5" long, w/ the handle being 3.2" the blade approx. 2.6" The pair of star shaped dishes 5.75" across& 5" down. The salt& pepper shakers are approx. 2.2" diameter& 3" ... morehigh. All pieces are in excellent condition; there are no chips, cracks, dings or other flaws at all. The salt& pepper shakers have a rubber plug on the bottom for filling& emptying. The salt shaker has 3 holes on top, the pepper has 2. The crock& dishes are marked on the bottom, reading Stars& Stripes, exclusively by Park designs, Goldboro, N.C. Made in China, microwave& dishwasher safe. There is a small label inside the crock reading Hand Painted by Park Designs. The label is sticky backed& is removable, but is still on since we never used it except among a patriotic themed display last summer. The blade of the knife has etched Stainless Steel Made in China. This a very nice set for summer picnics, or to serve snacks with. It also looks great in Americana themed displays throughout the year.
