Garmin cadence sensor - used, with rare earth magnets
I used this with a Garmin 305 for six months or so. About two years ago. It worked perfectly when I used it, but full disclosure: It's been sitting for over a year. So the battery is probably dead. They cost a few bucks. I replaced the crank magnet with rare earth magnets. Most road cranks have the hole for the pedal spindle go all the way through the crank arm; these magnets are long enough that they stick to the end of the spindle and stick out from there. The magnets are very strong. So don't worry about them falling off- rather, worry about getting some skin taken off your finger if you let the two magnets fly together from a distance. The screw-on magnet is for the spoke on the rear wheel. You probably don't need the bigger magnet. But.happy birthday! You'll need a cadence-capable GPS(like a 305 or 800) to benefit from ... morethis. It does nothing on it's own.
