This device is used to test the quality of concrete in the period of 14 to 56 days after it is poured. It is easy to use– Push the pointy end against some hard object to release the Hammer latch. The glass on the meter is still very clear and the meter can be read easily. The bronze material is tarnished some and the wooden box does show a weathered condition. The two valves on top open and close smoothly and the clamps snap into place to seal the lid on tight. The rubber gasket around the lid is also in good condition.
