This Japan Radio NRD-515 for sale works beautifully with great sensitivity up and down the bands. The receiver was aligned at Sherwood Engineering where the buffer mod for the SE-3 was installed so that this receiver could be used properly with a Sherwood SE-3 synchronous detector. This 515 has stock filters installed and all the receiver's controls work as designed. There are no shortcomings or issues during operation. Cosmetically. The NRD-515 is in great condition overall. The front panel looks to be in fantastic condition and ... morethe only noticeable cosmetics are some very minor areas of missing paint on the sides and bottom of the receiver. The NRD-515 is notorious for being easily scratched and it is quite common to see substantial scratching on the covers. Please note that the meter on my digital camera overmagnifies light so that the s-meter and the digital display appear much nicer in person. The camera makes the s-meter appear washed out and the digital display to look fuzzy, but this is not the case. Please use my pictures at the bottom of this listing as part of my description and feel free to ask any questions. The NRD-515 comes with a copy of the manual. A nice review from the folks at Proceedings, a copy of a flyer, and a copy of the product brochure.
