Presto Pallet Positioner- stationary air-powered rotating pallet lift- Cheap!
We purchased this about a year ago from Uline. It costs $2200 new( It is a very useful lift. But we don't have enough space in our warehouse for it. The positioner uses a bladder that you fill with compressed air to raise or lower the pallet height. As the weight comes off the pallet. The platform automatically rises because of the air pressure. The platform spins 360 degrees, so you have easy access to anything on top. This works best with pallets that have many items on them or where the items are heavy but you don't go through them too quickly. You need a lift to put a pallet on top and to move the positioner easily, as a pallet jack won't fit in the fork pockets. I added some fittings and valves so you can easily attach a quick-connect air hose and either increase or relieve pressure to raise and lower more easily. The black ... moretank was originally attached to the underside of the positioner. But the bracket was fragile and broke. I added a longer air hose so the tank can be relocated somewhere where it is more convenient to operate the valves to raise or lower it. The tank has a bracket welded to it so it can be securely attached to something. The price does NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING. You can pick it up at no cost or arrange freight yourself. The weight is 360lbs. It has not been abused and has spent a lot of time parked while I have had it. I don't think it was used much at the previous location. Because they gave it to a retiring employee that had been hurt on the job years before so he could do some work in his own shop. It has 2000lb. capacity. 20 inch work load center and 60" working height. It also has a 43" between straddles(minus a bit for the bolt heads for the front wheels) Has a built in charger. But I normally just leave it on a Battery Tender. Battery appears to be strong. It is a deep cycle battery, I believe. Little brake pads will need to be renewed. If that is important to you.
