Hyster H155XLForklift. Dual Drive Pneumatic Tire Type Model: H155XL Serial number: F00607080N Made in USA Reconditioned: I have been a forklift mechanic since 1978. I bought thismachine with 1190 original hours on it. I like this model because it is all Americanmade. Parts are easy to get and it doesn't have all the B.S. computer crap onit. It had been sitting idle for a while so after greasing it up and checkingall the fluids I used it as my main yard lift. I knew I was going to have torecondition it, even though nothing was leaking except the main free liftcyliner. So here is what I did: Removed carriage, rollers were good, butbearings were dry, removed six carriage rollers and repacked with waterproofgrease, removed free lift cylinder and repacked. Since I was doing the frontcylinder, might as well repack the two back cylinders, right? ... moreokay done. Had topull all four lift chains, so might as well soak them in oil while Im doingsomething else, like pulling the triple stage mast apart so I can repack thoseeight rollers. Mast rails straight and looked like they just came from the factory,except for paint, so repainted mast rails while I had them off. Reassembled allof the mast and installed all new lift cylinder hoses that were not leaking,but showed some signs of exterior cracking from the sun. Also repacked tiltcylinders since they were easy to get to at the time. And since the hydraulicswere apart, changed hydraulic oil and filter. Load tested machine to maxcapacity as you can tell in one of the pictures, usually use concrete, butanother forklift was all I had at the time. Everything works better than new. Ireally would rather rent it for long term than sell it, since I know I will nothave to do anything to it for awhile, but whichever comes first will get a goodmachine. 1992 model 1230 hours on it now. 15.500 lb capacity at 24" load center, 10,000 lb capacity@ 48" loadcenter Mast: Triple stage. 94" lowered height will go into a high cube cargocontainer, 152" raised height. True telescopic 3-stage mast(forks go up before masts go up. able to operate in low ceiling areas) 48" BackRest installed. My Company bought this unit used in December of 1998 from a Dealership. When we bought it hour meter read 370.9. Most of the missing paint was missing then and most scratches already present at that time. Previous owner ran with no backrest and as such had dented the main lift cylinder. We had new tires put on at that time and of course a new cylinder. Unit has never had much daily use. At times. Months(or seasons) go by when it is unused. Very little use for at least the last 5 or 6 years after contracts lost and business changed. No reason to sell it sooner. Business now relocated to home and not needed here Current hour meter ... moreis only 947.6. When we needed a forklift. We needed one, but we certainly didn't use it daily. Most of the time our business just involved 2 or 3 skids at a time being moved. We are on an alley too small to hold a semi so lifttruck was needed to operate down the alley. Chain set(for front drive tires) included which pretty much kept us going all winter. Two propane tank included. Neither is in great shape but both working. One full at this time. Starts and runs good. Motor will die if the STOPS on the Pistons are reached. I think this is typical of forklifts. At least it is typical of the three used ones I've owned.
