This power stretcher hook/stinger can be used with your power stretcher by simply replacing the end of your unit with it. The hook/stinger is used over wood sub flooring and is very useful when you have long runs of carpet or are installing used carpet that has been stored for a while and the backing is stiff. The hook/stinger penetrates the carpet and puts pressure on the subfloor and allows you to remove wrinkles and take up any slack as you go. This is a vintage model. Probably from the 1980s. It is in working. But used condition. Comes with items pictured. The four metal poles are expandable from 28" to 4' each(functional size- measured from end locking-pin to end locking-pin) There is an old razor type knife included with a hooked blade. It is rusty. Old and needs a new blade. Untested. It is some other brand. The metal parts have rust. The end-piece that braces up against a wall is missing a section of padding. It will need to be replaced. Seems like an easy fix. Just staple some kind of non-slip padding onto it. The metal parts of the case have rust. The clasps seem to clamp down loosely. One of the metal clamps inside of the box is broken(pictured) The plywood sides are old and not in good condition. They are bowing. And the layers of plywood are beginning to crack ... moreand separate in places. It is fine if handled gently, but won't take much abuse. The paint has scratches, scrapes and worn places. Check out my new listing price and you can show me what this is worth to you? Set your max a little higher cause it's going to get a lot of attention. I do ebay for fun not to get rich off of it so I am going to take a chance with it. This stretcher is used and I want you to be aware on the back piece(look at the pic's) there is 2 little stress cracks you can see them in the one pic. They do not go all the way through. I know if you go through Roberts or a parts place it is easy to replace there is just an O ring that holds it there. My dad was a Master Carpet Layer for over 30 yrs. experience and he put carpets in tight. I lost dad a while ago and selling off his tools I don't know the craft like he did ... moreso I don't try. I am including one of his tool box's with it. He always said it sucked working with a crew and not knowing who's tools were who's. Stretcher and tool box weighs just over 18 pounds alone. I know you can make money with it because everybody keeps borrowing it from me and charging folks to lay carpet in their homes. You guessed it. I never see any of the money, so I'm selling the tool) The pictures speak for themselves. This model is in great shape and in perfect working condition. It comes with the head piece, butt piece and 6 poles, the poles open and close nicely but do need a good cleaning and lubed up. All teeth are sharp with no broken ones. This is a good stretcher for the price for a beginner or if your an experienced carpet layer looking to get a good price on an extra nice stretching tool, this is for you. There is one minor problem that is an easy fix, that is the butt piece ... moreneeds a bracket attachment for the handle. I loaned the unit out and it came back minus the small bracket that attaches to the butt piece. Naturally the culprit didn't want to replace the lost part. Other than that, the system is complete and in great shape. A good handy man can fix that for less than ten or twenty bucks or even less. Hello! This is a listing for a Roberts Junior Carpet Stretcher. Model no. 10-237. The stretcher comes in good, used condition and includes the case. It also includes 4 34" poles and 1 13" pole, and 1 18" tail block. The tools shows its use, but is still solid and has many, many years left in it. There is surface rust throughout the inside and outside of each tube, but everything still functions appropriately. The padding on knee kicker is worn in spots. The head of the stretcher is still sharp and in good condition. Nothing is dented, cracked, or broken. The case shows rust on the hardware.
