I have no idea of this things usage or exactly how to use it, I do know that if you lift up the front and look through the eyepiece with a good light sourse you see the scales. After I casually expressed an interest in homebrewing beer. A friend gave me this refractometer. He said it works; it's barely used. but he doesn't have the time for homebrewing, and consequently the thing had just been sitting on a shelf for ages. Similarly. I also have not had the time for homebrew, and the refractometer has just been sitting on a shelf for ages. Theoretically, this was used for something at some point. but, I don't know anything other than what I've said above, nor do I fully understand how this thing works. but it still looks like new to me, so I just took a lot of photos. Comes with precisely what's shown in the pictures.
