Available from Staples(and probably other office supply stores) which were purchased some time in 2007 and have seen very light use since then. I am moving and will need to downsize a bit so I have four desks that are being offered for sale. The bid price will be for one desk. The winning bidder can choose how many he/she would like. Any remaining desks will be put up for a subsequent auction. There is no sturdier desk than these type of desks. These could be used for a work bench they are so sturdy and heavy duty. They were originally used by one of Ohio's leading engineering and architectural firms. There are six wood drawers that have smooth flowing steel runners that I believe have ball bearings that provide for easy opening and closing. They are solid and heavy and would be ideal for any business or home that needs sturdy durable work stations.

This is a 36' x 72" Indiana Desk from the Jefferson Collection. It was purchased and delivered in early 2008 and has been exactly where it is pictured since then. There is also a credenza and book shelf that are also from the Jefferson Collection. The measurements are 88" wide and 20" deep. The height is approximately 7 ft. Put a cushion on the seat and you can work all day. The knob you turn to tighten up the movement of the rocking still turns and tightens. Or loosens. The"pull" lever when pulled will allow you to spin the chair to raise or lower. The wheels have had it. This chair must have sat on shag carpeting. Because it is all entwined within the wheels. You can get replacements for this chair on Ebay, for little money. There are stains on the seat. But the stain on this chair has darkened ... moreso nicely. Circa 1830. The desk boasts a lovely sage green& gold leather tooled insert surrounded a cross-banded edged top. Below. There are 8 large working drawers to the front. The cock-beaded drawers features on the front an ebony diamond shaped key escutcheon and old replacement brass swan neck handles. The top two large drawers and the left hand drawer below features working locks and keys. On the back of the desk. There are a further 8“sham” drawers which are not designed to open. Each drawer is cock-beaded and features old replacement brass swan neck handles. All drawers are constructed with solid oak linings and have been hand dovetailed. Below. The plinth is finished with a reeded edge and the original turned feet supports the desk. The desk is freestanding which means it can be situated in the centre of the room.
