This oak 2 drawer library card file box/cabinet measures 16 1/2" x 17" x 7" and the two drawers will hold 5" x 2" index cards. The oak cabinet is in solid condition and has not been refinished and the color od golden oak with some age. It has some ink stains on the top as noted on Photo No. 10. Everything is original and it was made in Rochester New York by Yawman and Erbe. Remnants of the label/sticker is shown on Photo No. 7. The top is removable if you wish to add this to a present stack.

A 5 drawer section that has 1 broken drawer and a section that has 2 pull out shelf pieces to rest things on.The hardware is all present with the exception of the broken drawer which is missing it's label bracket/pull.All the rods are there inside each drawer.The cabinet does not have a finished top.It is made to stack on top of other pieces and it had the rounded ledges down each side to hold steady when stacked.I still have those but I took them off and placed a cut to fit piece of pine in the opening so the top would be flat.When I put a coat of just paint thinner on the cut to fit piece it will match in color.I will do that today.My husband can make a solid top for the price of the lumber if wanted.It won't be hard to do yourself.Just find a piece of pine(pine seems to match perfectly) and cut it the same size as the actual top and screw, nail it or glue it down.On the

Vintage Map File Cabinet Solid Oak
This solid oak 15 drawer unit comes from the Department of Interior built by Hamilton Manufacturing. It is in three 5 drawer sections with the top section made of solid oak. Banded with mitered mouldings. The cabinet as displayed is 45 inches high x 45.5 inches wide x 34.5 inches deep. The drawer fronts are approximately 2.5 inches high. Each section could be converted to a coffee table and the bottom two sections are without top. There are minor blemishes which come from age and use. There is no significant flaw in any of the exposed surfaces.

This is a beautiful antique file. It looks like walnut. It's obviously very old and in mint condition. It has four little drawers. I've used it for recipes and pictures. The overall dimensions are 17 1/4" wide. 28" deep and 51 3/4" high. The inside dimensions of each drawer are 12"wide. 10" high and 24" deep. The medium honey oak finish is beautiful and the 100+ year old patina changes with the light of day. There a couple very minor"scars of time" that add charm and authenticity to this piece. Antique Library card catalog. Made by the Library Bureau Sole Makers Company. Made of oak. Appears to have never been refinished. Shows years of loving wear. Please see all the pictures for a better idea of condition. There are 3 drawers with 6 areas for cards. The drawers are unlike most cabinets and are open rather than seperated into cubbies. This actually makes it much more usefull than most other cabinets. Only one drawer still retains the inside hardware. All drawers retyain the original outside hardware. One very interesting thing about this cabinet are the hand holds that were carved into the sides. This cabinet was apparently moved alot so the hand holds were added after production to aid in moving the cabinet. Normally I would say this would hurt the value but in this case they were probably added around 100 years ago and I feel ... morethis actually makes it even more interesting. I wish I knew the story of why they were added. Possibly a portable library. Think about it. Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a vintage Weis two drawer file cabinet. It measures 11" wide x 12" high x 18" deep. The drawers are 4-1/2" high and 9-1/4 inches wide. The oak finish has minor scratching on the finish and there are chips to the veneer at one side(it is a small chip; the rest of what looks like damage is actually reflecting light) and another at the rear corner(both pictured) Overall it is in very nice condition and ready to store your household items or other items. Very nice pair of Globe-Wernicke file boxes from Cincinati. Ohio. They are solid oak; very heavy! Measures 16x 7.25 x5.5" Holds 3 x 5 cards. The spring back card holders work fine; one of the handles on the front is a little marred; maybe melted celluloid plastic? These are circa 1900 and are great accent pieces for an office. Light sratches; also an old wax mark as to who they were sold to long ago. The name can probably be rubbed out. The paper labels are clean and visible when you take the drawers out. The bottom part was lost through the centuries and the top was raised on bun feet and rounded apron was added to the bottom. This transformation took place a while ago and the wood shows some aging and doesn’t stand out. Two doors open wide. Revealing the interior, which is about 52” from side to side ... moreand 13” deep and 52” tall. We have added two 1 ½” thick heavy duty pine shelves. Which are completely adjustable and will hold a lot of weight. The shelves were aged to look old and will not stand out. The front doors are covered with gathered French country style fabric. Which can be removed so that you can see the interior through the glass. The lock is in working condition, complete with the key. The bibliotheque measures about 59” at the widest point and about 20 ¾” deep. It stands up about 63 ½” tall and the top surface can be used as a shelf. Displaying collectable items. Very heavy. Solid and well built item. The primer material is oak. However, secondary woods was also used on the sides and the back, which is common for 18th Century furniture. We were using it in our office for files and fabric samplers and it is hard to find a bookcase which will fit oversized files and provide such great access as this item does. Antique Rockwell Rupel Wabash Oak Flat File Drawer Cabinet Industrial
This tall antique oak file-drawer cabinet with flat file drawers dates to sometime between the late 1800s to the first decade of the 20th century. Before the era of vertical-file filing cabinets. The cabinet was manufactured by Rockwell& Rupel of Chicago, Illinois, and I have not been able to find another example of it anywhere online-in fact, I've only been able to find two file drawer cabinets made by this company: one is a smaller tabletop model, and the other was a wider one that was auctioned by Christies of London in 2006 for several thousand dollars. So, I think it would be fair to say that this is a rare piece of furniture. Probably used in an office setting in the late 19th to early 20th century. It later spent many years in use at a hand-crafted furniture company. When purchased it still contained piles of screws and cabinet ... moreknobs! As shown, the bottom two drawers are missing. I removed them, as they had been loaded down with screws and the bottoms were very beat up. HOWEVER, I saved the FRONTS(see second photo) and they could be attached as false fronts or of course a woodworker could replace the drawers. As shown, at some point in its long history the cabinet either had two top drawers replaced with one deep drawer, or perhaps only the cabinet pull was replaced. The drawer fronts have the remnants of old taped labels as well as scratches. Carved numbers, and plenty of wear. The bottom of the cabinet has significant wear to the trim, and I removed some of the side trim that was in bad shape. The cabinet and all its remaining drawers are in good structural condition and all the drawers are clean and open and close properly. The cabinet measures 60" tall, 30&3/4" wide, and 18&1/2 inches deep. Fixing this up is entirely optional-I love its worn. Industrial look and the hand-carved dentil molding and old-fashioned brass-plated label drawer pulls. This is a great early Victorian walnut two piece bookcase. The bottom section is a two door glass bookcase with four adjustable shelves. The top half is a unique bookcase file storage section with three glass doors. Notice the unique horizontal files for storage on both side doors of this top section. On the brass hardware on this bookcase there is a patent date of Feb. 25th. 1858. This bookcase standing together measures 90" high, at the widest is 63" wide and the depth is 17" deep. What an outstanding piece of Victorian Walnut. I have had many that have suggested that this could of come out of a music room and the top was used to file sheet music. Here's a wooden filing cabinet in good condition. Beautiful original finish(tiger oak perhaps? with brass pulls. All wood construction except for metal drawer bodies. There's a metal tag inside with a serial number and"USPO Dept" affixed to the interior of the cabinet. The body of the cabinet has some insect damage on the underside- floor is thin and has some holes in the corner as pictured. But it doesn't affect function. From the early 1900s, it looks like there ar 10 drawers, but the 2 bottom drawers are actually doubles, so they would hold a deeper file. overall great condition, doors all slide out smoothly. This box is in good vintage condition but not excellent or mint. There is a few scratches to the outside finish on the box and one long scratch or discoloration. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 5 DRAWER APOTHECARY/ FILE/ SPICE CABINET* Up for auction is adorable little 5 drawer spice cabinet/ set of drawers. It's a nice soft Primitive item. The drawers have little porcelain drawer pulls that are white. The pulls are chipped and cracked as you can see in the pictures. The screws that hold the knobs are a little rusty too. The cabinet is a cute size and measures 13.25" W x 5.25" D" w/o knobs) x 7.75" H and it weighs 6.25 lbs. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet or what kind of wood it is. It looks like all original to us. It has some chips. Cracks, scratches, edge wear, warps and nicks as is expected for an item of this age. Oak Library Card Catalog Storage File Cabinet with Brass Pulls& Label Space This 3-drawer solid oak library cabinet is in very good condition and measures 22-1/4" deep x 16" wide x 12" high. The drawers which measure 3-1/8" high x 14-3/8" wide x 21" long have been refinished and slide easily in place. They have deep dovetail joints which are indicative of the good quality of this cabinet which weighs a hefty 38 pounds. The rest of the cabinet is painted dark green and can either be stripped to expose the oak or left as is. I'm not sure what this cabinet originally was used for but I think it may have had dividers along the metal tracks for catalogue cards. Vtg Antique 1908 Yawman & Earb Metal Card Cabinet File Drawer Brass Handles
Description All metal with faux wood-grain paint and brass handle. Painted label on the front. Very heavy and well constructed. Good condition with age appropriate wear. It has some paint loss. A few scratches, and some surface rust on the back end. The label is mostly intact. The brass has the appropriate patina you'd expect on a piece this old. One of the rods has two patent dates on it. The latest being 1908. It has one card clip. But may be missing another. The knob on the bottom spins one of the rods, and appears to do nothing at all except spin. I think that another card clip might have attached to it and was moved or locked by the knob on the bottom. The switch on the top holds the drawer in place and works great. Measures 16 1/2 in. deep. 11 1/2 in wide, and stands 7 1/2 in. tall. I took photos with and without flash. The flash ... morephotos seem to show off the wood grain and help the wear show up better than the non-flash photos. Wood Modern Library Index Card Catalog Mid Century File Cabinet COFFEE TABLE
You get a coffee table AND the mother of all storage cabinets! BEAUTIFUL PIECE made by GAYLORD BROS. INC as a library card catalog. Blond wood. Most likely maple, but not positive. All 12 drawers are dovetailed and glide smoothly. They all have thick, brass finger pulls with label holders. Heavy, solid construction(weighing 45LBS) with a very nice patina. A Great Antique Shaw Walker 4 drawer wooden filing cabinet. It has the dovetail joints and the"Shaw Walker" name on the top. One drawer has the metal card holder. The other 3 do not. Please see pictures) There are two slight cracks in the bottom of two drawers. It does have wear consistent with it's age. There are knicks. Marks, dings, finish loss, a crack here or there, and the one side does have a black substance(looks to be old glue from some type of label) on it, as seen in the picture. The pulls are wooden with a screw in the center. The pulls appear to be old cut wood thread spools, 2 are from the old Berksire& Beckett Silk Co, one has some type of"Clark" label worn off& the 4th is unmarked.
