This note book was dated 1960 and was presented to my relative. A communist writer from Canada. Marking of Sterling 875 with a star marking. There is a loop on the side for a pen. This item is in very good pre-owned condition with slight imperfections. The block note paper pad inside is intact and very little of the paper was used. The note paper is not a bright white color. There is some staining to the metal plating on the front of the note pad. I do not know if this can be removed. Vintage wood inlay lap desk w/ leather writing pad and glass inkwells
Up for auction is a vintage looking wood inlay lap desk. Inherited from my father's house and I have no idea where he got it. Just know that it sat in his den holding stamps. Bills etc.before it came to me and served the same function in my office. Have now moved my office to home and have no more space for this useful and very attractive piece. It could be an antique Victorian lap desk as my father was always heading to auctions of all sort, and they were all the rage in Victoria's time or it could simply be a well done but more recent reproduction of a Victorian piece. I really do not know. Measures 13" wide x 10" tall. The front angled panel flips backward to reveal an inner compartment with seven separate sections. Two glass ink wells(one is missing its original brass lid) a pencil/pen compartment and a flat embossed ... moreleather covered table for writing on. Brass hinges and nice inlay work to the centre of the front panel and the four corners. There is a vertical crack measuring 7" to the veneer on the front of the lap desk. There is also a 3" crack on the upper back side. Neither of these appear to be getting any wider and neither affect the functionality of the desk. Antique HEINTZ ART METAL Copper & Silver Desk Pad W/leather insert LOOK
I have for auction a Heintz desk pad from a desk set with copper and silver overlay on two of the four corners. This measures 21 inches by 10 15/16 inches. The corners are 3 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches triangles. The silver overlay has no losses. There are no visible marks but would be on the back of the corners. If marked. This has a brownish leather insert which has been in the desk pad for a very very long time. The desk pad has aged outside of the leather insert so it is obvious it could be original to this piece. Vintage Roycroft Renaisance Hand Tooled Leather Desk Pad Mission Style
There is no reserve on this striking Roycroft leather desk pad. Here we have a recent estate find that we think will really please the bidder. It is a leather hand tooled desk pad made in 1996 by a Roycraft Master artisan who was awarded the right to use the Roycroft Logo. At the top of the pad is the Roycroft Logo with two back to back“R’s” standing for“Roycroft Renaissance. The leather is in gently used condition with no tears or bad scuffs. The pad is Masonite which is very hard and will never warp. The leather is attached with brass nails. Please enjoy the photos and we ask that you consider them as part of the description.
