Peavey owns a product line that is about as professional as it gets. Its called Media Matrix. Cobranet is a ethernet based audio protocol that allows the sending and receiving of multiple channels of audio over generic cat5 or cat6 ethernet cabling. Check out some of the other people using Cobranet- BSS. Crown, Crest QSC, RANE Etc. This module is one of a few that I own. I had every intention to put these in my processing racks for extra inputs into my Yamaha cobranet connected mixer. This would permit me to connect a cat5 cable to the processing rack for 16 channels of digital audio, hum free, to my expand my mixer inputs. They can be used as digital snake inputs too.
