Lexmark is generally not my favorite. But the 24XX series is definitely an exception. For whatever reason, Lexmark decided to actually build some quality into this model. Tractor-fed forms using a dot matrix printer continues to be the best and cheapest way to print invoices and other related business forms, and this versatile printer does it well. Ribbons cost as low as $2 for this printer if bought in quantity, but the one that is on the printer now is pretty weak and needs replacement. Red Beryl(Bixbite) in matrix specimen from the Wah Wah Mountains of Utah. There is about 6 main stones and 3 or 4 smaller. Less noticeable ones. The largest stone measures 6mm x 6mm wide x 4mm tall. The smallest is 2mm wide x 2mm tall. Most of the crystals are not terminated and some have been chipped. One of the nicer stones has been fractured. The smaller stone has the best overall form and terminated but half of it is completely included with Rhyolite to the point that there is not even pink color to it. the other half is nice. None of these crystals would be ideal for faceting in my opinion. I could be wrong though. Overall measurement of this specimenis 2 and 1/2 inches long x 1 and 5/8 x 1 and 3/8 inches wide. photos taken in natural sunlight. This item has been described to the best of my ability.
