Art Deco Salmon Pink Celluloid Bulb & clear link chain necklace OLD & UNIQUE
I found this in my Grandmother's box of costume jewelry back in 1976 after she had passed away many. Many years before. It is a celluloid beaded necklace featuring 7 call orbs attached to gold plated findings. The chain is also celluloid. There are a few issues. I found stains on 2 of the bulbs and am not sure which product to use to clean them. Also, there is plate loss to the golden findings. The last issue is that there was not a clasp on the necklace. I have simply placed 2 brass hook closures at the end in order that it could be worn. My Grandmother owned the Smart Shop in her town in Arkansas and she had boxes and boxes of costume jewelry! The funny part is that she was sort of a Pioneer Woman and I don't recall her every wearing any jewelry. She didn't know how to drive a car, and she had my Uncle Bud take her once a week ... moreto have her hair done. Ha. She was a talented poet and painter. but she lived in a small town of less than a thousand people. She literally lived out on a dirt road in the farming community. It is odd that she would own a women's store. My"other Grandmother" was the"city slicker" and she was the City Clerk of the town. She wore Weiss rhinestone butterfly pins and placed them on her shoulder so that people would comment that she had a butterfly on her. Ha. The two grandmothers contrasted very much from one another! Carved Butterscotch Bakelite Rose with Chain Link Trim Dress Clip This is a fine example of carved butterscotch Bakelite in the form of an oval with a carved blossom on the surface trimmed with an endless unknown golden chain link metal around the edge of the piece that is fit into a groove which allows the chain to move completely around the piece without slipping off the brooch. In other words. The chain is not glued are set into the plastic and is completely movable. There is a brass or unknown base metal clip firmly embedded into the plastic which has three teeth to secure the brooch on a piece of clothing. The brooch measures 1 1/4" by 1 3/4" long and is in excellent pre-owned and well-loved condition. There are no signs of age or wear to the piece. Very well made.

The classic rootbeer bakelite horsey charm bracelet with a horse head. Two horseshoes and two boot charms, all original, all in really nice condition. It is just under 7 1/2" long, including the clasp; the boots are an inch tall, and the horse head and horseshoe charms are approximately 3/4" wide and tall. This is one of the best we've seen. Since it has the original celluloid link chain bracelet. These links are sturdy and the bracelet is totally wearable, but many of this type didn't do well over the years. Stunning Antique Cameo With Original Chain Link Rope Chainmail Necklace Hi everyone. I have for auction today this Stunning Antique Cameo Necklace. This is fresh out of an estate. Metal is unknown. I bought this for my wife as a surprise and the chain is barely too short to fit her neck. My loss can be your gain. The carved cameo shell is in perfect original condition with no cracks or chips. I believe the chain link rope to be original to the necklace. As it appears to match the lattice around the cameo perfectly. The link between the cameo and the chain on the right side has been replaced. Not original. The link on the cameo on the left side is broken but barely. It does not look like it has ever been bent away. it's very close and the link on the chain is original. There's one or two places on the rope chain where there's a ... moretiny bit of corrosion. Barely noticable. There have not been any links repaired on the rope chain aside from the one link between the chain and the cameo. This necklace is just incredible. With some of the chain links smooth and some of the chain links twisted. Here's the measurements. Holding the necklace by the clasp. It's 9 3/8 inches to the bottom tip of the cameo. Each length of the rope is 7 inches long. Not incliding the clasp. The clasp is 3/4 inch. The cameo is 2 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide. This would make one of the nicest valentines presents ever. Going to make this a 3 day auction in order to guarantee delivery by February 14th. Provided you pay immediatly after the auction, I can get it in the mail friday. This applies to US only. This is an antiqque or vintage chain made of roundish links pronged into each other. It is 15" long plus the clasp ends and 3/16" wide. It isn't marked but looks to be brass or something goldtone. Condition is very good but there is a tiny wear spot on one end as seen in the 4th photo. It is a nice chain to wear with the clasp in front with a locket or pendant like seen in the last photo.
