Victorian Hand Painted Art Glass Cologne Perfume Dresser Bottle Ruffle Stopper
Lovely Victorian Hand Painted Art Glass Cologne Decanter/ Perfume Bottle with Matching Ruffle Rim Stopper. This is a lovely cologne/ decanter/ bottle. The glass is white milk glass which has a matt satin finish on the outside. It stands 9 3/4" tall with stopper in place and bottle is 6 1/4" tall. The stopper is really great with deep scalloped ruffle that folds up and down. There is the tiniest nick on one rim edge of stopper which is shown in photo#5. More felt than seen unless looking with magnifier and a few rough spots on the bottom end. No nicks or chips to the bottle, normal imperfections found with old hand blown glass. Photos show all detail well. The bottle is decorated with lovely floral of warm earthy colors with gold gilt accent. The bottom has blue enameling that shades from light to dark. It has accent beading around ... morethe stopper top and bottle neck is decorated as well. The back is not decorated. Each piece has the same enameled number which was common for early Victorian glass to keep matching fitted parts in order. Very nice condition for a bottle more than 100 years old, c.1870-1890. This auction is for a beautiful BOHEMIAN Glass DECANTER with Hand Painted scene from I believe the Opera"The Bartered Bride" There is a scene with a couple(man& woman) in an embrace with the words- Z Prodane nevesty! The Bartered Bride! and Verne nase milovani, Our love is faithful! in a lovely white banner at the bottom of the scene. There are also hand painted flowers/ roses and vines above the main scene and around the sides. There is a glass w/ gold accent stripes stopper. There are gold accents throughout this lovely piece. There is a"28" painted on the bottom probably the artist's number. There is also a gold colored laurel leaf stamp with"Made in Czechoslovakia" stamped on the bottom. There are old glass bubbles throughout this decanter. So nice. The very top lip of this decanter looks like it ... moreis has been ground smooth where it was rough, but cannot really be seen. There is one sliver missing from the top lip around the same area. The Stopper(top) is also marked"28" to it is sure to be the original stopper, which can be rare to find. For sale one tall 15 1/2 inch high decorative vintage blue design bottle. The bottle is very nice quality and has nice weight. The bottle is 5 inches wide at widest point and base is 3 1/2 inches wide. The bottle has no chips or cracks. I have owned this bottle probably about 5 or 6 years. I purchased it at a estate sale. I really do not know anything about it but it does have some age. The bottle is a lovely light blue and is beautiful when light shines thru. Petite Circa 1970's Glass Snuff Bottle w/Spoon from Peking Flower Bamboo Design
This lovely glass Chinese snuff bottle was part of a lot acquired at auction. The lot came from a retail store whose owner purchased them from a Chinese family who helped provide him with items from the Chinese culture. He purchased many of these in the 1970's. What is being sold here is the last of the bottles from this particular source. They have been previously listed as porcelain but I had the misfortune of dropping one and I believe the composition is glass. This group of bottles are among some of my favorites. I believe that there are a total of 4 different designs. This design has a coffee color silhouette of flowers and bamboo. There is a spoon attached to its top. This can be viewed in photos 3 and 4. The height of the bottle is approximately 2" without the top and about 2 1/4" with the top in place. Vintage Reverse Painted Glass Perfume Bottle in Box. Flask about 3-1/4" tall including stopper(2-13/16" tall without stopper x 1-3/4" wide x 5/8" thick. Stopper appears to be wooden with round pale green jade dome. Blue fabric covered box is about 3-5/8" long x 1-7/8" tall x 2-1/2" wide. Bright white and red floral design. Box is closed with post and loop. Post appears to be faux ivory. One side of bottle has bamboo background with blue rocks or waterfall in the foreground. Large rooster with green.
