Vintage "Justrite" Electric Mining Safety Lantern, Nice Vintage Condition!
I'm not sure when this was made-after the era of carbide lamps of course. But beyond that I do not know. This has two bulbs which are moved using a lever on the side for different brightnesses. Also two spare bulbs in the tail cap including a red one. Has the UL Listed marking as well as the MSHA seal marking it as a"permissible" lantern. The Justrite logo is stamped into the top but difficult to read-I have included a photo of the top just to show general condition. All in all, this is in fairly typical vintage condition, direct from the iron mines of Northern Minnesota. And yes, it works just as it did when it was made(uses a six volt lantern battery) though it's attracted a few"character marks" over the years.
