And minimize the risk of contact allergies. All exposed plastic parts are made of polyamide. The mask has two exhalation valves that provide minimum exhalation resistance. And an easily adjustable fabric head harness. Some of the inhalation air is guided via the screen disc to prevent misting. The unit appears to be unused with just a few marks on the air tank. I don't know the history of it so even though it appears to be unused I have listed it as used. The face mask has a clear protective plastic shield overlaid over the the clear plastic face that is part of the mask. The clear protective shield may need to be removed and re-attached to the mask as it has lifted up on one side of the mask. It is attached with a narrow thin black foam weather stripping self adhesive tape. I have put ... morea small piece of double sided tape to hold it down temporarily as I don't have the time to fix it properly even though it should be a relatively easy fix. It has nothing to do with the mask functioning properly or as it was intended. These cost around 500.00 new. There is an air coupling valve so you could connect another air hose in addition to the hose from the tank. This could be a real life saver in a house on fire and full of smoke. There are a lot of other applications that this could be used for as well. I have another one just like this one in the same apparently unused condition that I will list after this one is sold. Here is a MSA Belt-Mounted Powered Air Purifying Respirator This is an older used unit that works but the old rechargeable batteries are junk. Just replace the batteries and clean it up. Install new filters and your all set, and you will have a nice unit. The lens is scratched as you can see in the pic. The batteries run the motor slow, but it will run. rubber straps have little dry rot in some spots, but all works and fits good still on your head. STS Electronic Indicating Ground G2-25 IG These Indicators were used in our plant. To eliminate static electricity by grounding the equipment, before transferring hazardous liquids to vesicles. They were set up so if you didn’t have a good ground you couldn’t run the equipment. By inter locking the motors starter though the contact in the STS Indicators. If you have a good ground, you get a green light, which meant you were ok to run. A red meant no ground and you couldn't run the equipment until corrected. The plant was shut down and this indicator was in service only a couple years it is fully operational. It comes with manuals and paper work why you should use it. British Avon S10 Gas Mask Respirator Size 2 1987
I am no expert on these gas masks so I am not going to just copy and paste someone else’s information here for rear that I may be wrong. I can tell you I believe this is a S10 model size 2. It is marked AVON 1987 and 2 with a 10 on the tube that goes from the front center to the inside. I believe this is a drinking tube. I put the mask through the dishwasher here so it has that“fresh” dishwasher soap smell. It’s really more of a light scent then a smell. The white spots brush off with a sturdy scrub brush. I brushed most of it off already. Perhaps a soak in hot water will also get rid of them? The lenses are scratched and it does affect the view. I cleaned the lenses so what you see on them are scratches including one serious gouge scratch on one lens. I don’t know what to value this mask at so I have put an inbetween price based on previous ... moresales on here. Feel free to make me an offer if you don’t like the posted price. The mask is 100% functional with no rips or damage to the rubber but it is a used mask not a new mask. The rubber is very soft and pliable. Not dried or cracked.
