This is a badge worn by Civil War veterans at the 1907 Blue and Gray reunion held at Fort Fisher. North Carolina. It consists of a 1 1/4 inch celluloid pinback with brass pin on rear, made by the Whitehead& Hoag Company of Newark NJ. The pinback has a 1 1/4 inch by 2 inch blue and gray striped ribbon attached. Written on the celluloid is"1865-1907- Fort Fisher- Glory Enough for All" The brass pin on the rear was likely used to attach the larger ribbon to a veteran's lapel. The large ribbon is approximately 2 1/4 inches by 6 1/2 inches and is a member's badge from the 117th New York Volunteers.
