VINTAGE MSA AMMONIA GAS MASK & CASE WITH 2 CANNISTERS-COMPLETE SET
Here is a vintage MSA Ammonia Gas Mask in its original case with 2 cannisters#1406 issued to the Mine Safety Appliance Co in Pittsburgh. Pa. I would say this was used during WW11 moving forward into the 1950's. This field protection mask is one of various gas masks used by the military of the US and its allies to protect from field concentrations of chemical and biological agents along with radiological fallout particles. It is in good condition. The set includes gas mask. Rubber hose, 2 cannisters with harness and metal case with instruction sheet. The metal case measures 13.5" high x 9" wide x 6.5" deep. A great piece of military history!

Extremely Rare 1905 1921 MSA Gas Mask Manual Crank Air Feed Steampunk
Very Rare MSA Gas Mask Early 1900's You may never see one of these again. Patented between 1900 and 1921. The mask was made in 1921, not sure about the box, but it is likely that the 1905 number is a reference to the patent year as is common in early products. Everything is include mask, box, wrench, crank, three sections of hose(about 75" and filter end. The hose is in great shape and not cracking or anything. This box will feed air through 100 ft of hose as a single hose or split over both ports. There are two threaded ports to supply air and a cap to cover one if its not being used. The crank as you see fits through the lid and turns the turbine located inside the box. It turns easily and once it is moving its momentum does most of the work. Some of the ear cups are broken loose from the headpieces.
