Original British World War II era Mk VII gas mask bags. These came directly from Pakistan near the Afghanistan border and have been used- very well used. These are not in mint condition but could be good for someone looking for a project. These are missing the original shoulder straps. But in the Indiana Jones movies the bag had a leather strap not the original canvas strap anyway. These are VERY worn. There are some rips, some stains, some holes and a lot of Pakistan dirt and dust. However these are the real deal and there are 11 bags in total with dates from 1938 to 1942 and a variety of makers. As there are a variety of makers and even variations in patterns this could be an excellent opportunity to have an instant gas mask bag collection.

Up for auction is a SWISS GAS MASK? WITH BAG AND ACCESSORIES. I have a question mark because I am not sure it is Swiss; I am going buy the writing on what I believe is a poncho and"+" stamp throughout the accessories. The mask itself has"LUWA" on the cannister part and"INCA 6115 3" on the stem that screws into the cannister. On the rubber face portion there is a 86 and some symbols. I tried to capture all of these in the photos. In the bag there are also several items. 2 small tins. One with filters and one with what I think is an ammonia stick for reviving. There are 2 plastic head covers and then a large plastic item which is sealed in plastic.a poncho maybe? There was also a piece of white cloth. The others which were nearly identical were marked received 10-7-46, but this one has no received date. The patent date on the mask is 11-1-1921. Does not ever appear to have been used. Looks to be in great condition, but I wouldn't think it's servicable any longer it's far too old and out dated. One of the rubber straps is broken from age, but all the pieces are in the box. I bought it with a large lot of fire department surplus I bought back about 1989. And it's been on the shelf ever since. Would be an interesting item to have in your old firetruck. Ambulance, rescue truck or police car. The number 275 written on the box is crayon from the auction. I will let you remove it if you desire. US Navy Shallow Water Diving Helmet / Gas Mask
Up for auction is a very early and unusual US Navy Full Face Diving/Gas Mask. This early version mask was the standard Navy issued mask; and as such. Is a part of our history. This is the mask that started it all. The Navy needed a lightweight utility mask for jobs where heavy gear wasn't necessary or practical. Necessity being the mother of invention. It was necessity that led them to simply converting their standard gas mask, for underwater use to meet this need. This mask is the mask that led to the development of the DESCO(Jack Browne) Mask which was developed for the U.S. Navy during the latter part of World War II. In early 1944 US Navy gas masks were converted to underwater diving masks and were used for shallow water diving. T hese diving helmet masks have been successfully used for many years by divers working in shallow and uncontaminated waters. They are made of natural. Compression-molded rubber permanently bonded to a rigid brass frame. The result is a rugged piece of equipment of low volume which permits the diver to work in very confined quarters. The two ribbed air-hoses are approximately two feet in length and are fed by and attached to a brass Y-shaped manifold. The manifold still has the original cardboard thread protector on it. Which leads me to believe this mask has never been used. The manifold has a ring, chain and spring loaded alligator type of clamp which is holding the hose assembly up- see photo of the back of the mask. The head-harness with its six reinforced straps and brass. Quick release/adjustment buckles that can be adjusted to make a comfortable and effective seal against the divers face regardless of facial conformation. Hose is flexible on most areas. But has been smashed near the mask side of hose and it's very stiff where it is smashed. See photos for condition description. There are several markings on the mask/hose/canister: Mask marks: Has a number 2 on the left side of face mask. Also marked Fatra S-4-35 on the underside chin area of the face mask. Inside the face mask it is marked Fatra 2 in the rubber around the nose area above the breather. On the back side of the center strap has some letters and numbers that are very faded. But it looks like IU(orV)54. The metal buckles for the straps are marked MP-1935. Hose mark: S-5-38 on the hose tape near where it screws onto the canister. Canister Marks: CH a standing lion emblem 38 on top of canister. Also has Ch.S.78-37-8 on top of canister. Hose is approx 30 inches long. Hello. Up for bid is 1 of many helmet, gas mask groupings I will be listing soon. This is a WW2 M1 fixed bale US Army helmet and standard issue gas mask with bag and anti-dim stick. The helmet has two cracks in the shell as pictured. The liner has some small cracks as well but not severe. The liner and chinstrap are complete and in working order. The leather is soft and pliable. Canvas looks and displays very well. A very nice complete M1 up for auction. The gas mask is in very good shape. Some surface, rust, dirt and wear. Some age and moth ball smell to it but it goes away. The hose is in very good shape with no breaks or cracks. Lenses are great. Gas mask bag is complete with all straps and parts. Hello. Up for bid is what I believe to be a post WW2 French tankers helmet and gas mask. The mask is in good shape with wear and age. Filter is good and well marked. Straps are complete and strong. Mask is marked AJAX III. Helmet is in good shape with wear. The shell is a composite/ hard plastic type material. It is marked under the liner with M.P M.P MARSEILLE 1959. Chinstrap is complete and wearable. Picture 8 shows a leather piece that has the rivet missing. Liner is complete and in good shape. There is some age and moth ball smell but it goes away in a short time. Some rust on metal pieces. As with all my items, I try and describe them the best I can. Well-made copy of the German Drager M65 mask, features as follows: Mask: Dark OD green rubber face piece and head harness with glass eye pieces. OD green plastic voicemitter assembly and filter socket, and screw cap for attaching canteen drinking tube on right side. Marked on upper left side of face piece with minaret tower marking and Roman numeral II size marking in center, dated 1986 on back of head harness. Filter is dark OD green painted steel and dated 17 July 1988. Some light rust around inlet hole on filter. Mask is nice and pliable with no damage to rubber or any components. Bag: Dark brownish-OD green nylon with rubberized coating inside. Three snap flap, and two nylon waist/leg straps[similar to a nylon version of the US M9A1 bag of the Korean War] Several internal and ... moreone external pocket for accessories. Faint Arabic writing on white label on bottom of bag. Light fraying along one edge of the upper waist strap otherwise undamaged. Drinking tube: Black plastic screw caps and black rubber tube. Large cap fits the British P44-style canteen widely used by Iraqis and small cap attaches to fitting on right side of mask. Decontamination kit: Greyish-OD green painted steel can with light green instruction label in Arabic and dated 1987 on top of lid. Never been opened and still sealed in original plastic wrapper. Fits in outside pocket of bag. Best of all. The mask still has its original US Army capture certificate inside the bag, named to a member of 27th MSB, 1st Cavalry Division and dated 23 March 1991. Most complete Iraqi mask I've ever seen. Mask was found here in the Killeen/Fort Hood area in the early 1990s. Awesome piece for any gas mask or Iraqi militaria collection and in excellent condition.

MASK, PROTECTIVE, FIELD, ABC-M 17, S, LAC. On one end there there is a pocket and on the bottom there are 2 pockets with a snap flap for storing the straps and storing the gas mask defogger when carying the Gas Mask Bag on your belt, pack, etc. On the top there is a fold down flap with 2 snap pull type of snaps for securing the bag closed. On the back there are 2 belt clips for carying the Gas Mask Bag on your pistol belt, pack, etc. There are also 2 straps with snap hooks that fasten to 2 D-rings.
