This is a used Walker Diesel powered plate tamper. It runs however I think the diesel injector needs cleaning. It misses a bit and smokes until warmed up. Also the throttle cable needs some work. This unit is being sold as is and needs some work to get it in tip top shape again. I bought it new and used it about 15 times. Then it started running a bit rough and acts like it is getting to much fuel. I just don't have the time to play with it and I am just going to buy another new one. This is a Dynapac model LF82 vibratory plate compactor with a pull-start Honda GX160 5.5hp gasoline engine. I had the carburetor replaced on 9/1 5/11 and the unit run s well. I used it recently to tamp down an area for a backyard patio. The unit propels itself forward slowly when running. So you have to pull back on the handle a bit to hold it in place, but it's easy to manage with the included aluminum handle. The compactor weigh s 180lbs. overall. And generates 4000 pounds of tamping force. The plate is heavy steel, 18 inches wide, and 21.25 inches long.
