It is stamped with"3AA 2250" which I blelieve is the amout of pounds this tank can handle) There are a bunch of other stampings which I cannot make out. Because as can be seen, there is a scrape in that area. The black color is actually a thick vinyl coating to protect the galvanized tank, but again it was damaged at the top near the shoulder. It has a US Divers Santa Anna California stamped gauge with a lever that can be switched from in use to refill. It seems to move and snap into place. There is still a slight amount of air in the tank to keep moisture out, there is a heavy duty black boot on the bottom, however some of the feet are leaning sideways and is ... morenot very stable when standing. There is a visual cylinder inspection sticker that shows it was last tested in November 1997. FEATURES: Black vinyl covered galvanized steel tank which is marked with 3AA2250. Gauge has lever that can be switched from"In use" to"Refill" Still slight amount of air in the tank to keep moisture out. Heavy duty boot on the bottom. But some of the feet are are not very stable. ADD. INFO: I know the tank is still slighltly pressurized. I don't know how much air is still in there. This item was full of air when I recieved it. It has a small pressure gauge on the top of the regulator. The model number off the tank is sru-40bp. The date on the tag is 1999. As far as I know tanks this small do not require hydrostatic testing. I will have to let all of the air out of the tank prior to shipping.
