This Wassco Glo-Melt resistance soldering unit worked well the last time I used it. When I purchased it. I replaced the AC cord, fixed a connection on the front that was missing some hardware and I changed out the handle/ground wiring with#4 welding cable. The welding cable is a high-strand-count cable that is very flexible and easy to work with. The jacket is resistant to damage from hot metal drops. These same units are sold under the"American Beauty" brand name now with a new more stylish case. But pretty much the same internal parts. This unit comes with all of the items pictured. The one item I am not including is a foot pedal to switch the unit on and off. It isn't required for operation. But it makes it safer and easier to work with if you have one. I use the same foot pedal with another device and would swap it between ... morethe two since I have been too cheap to buy another one. The shipping weight is 28lbs. I plan to double box this unit and cushion it as best as I can. The density of this station makes bubble pack.
