These TWO used soldering stations have not been in use since 1998. I have had them stored in my garage. I ran an electronics repair shop from 1993 to 1998. The units were never left with power on continuously. It takes about 15 seconds for them to come up to operating heat at solder melting temperature. They BOTH are in excellent condition. And operate great. I tested both prior to this sale! Sponges are not included. I understand that parts can be obtained still. But both were discontinued in 1999. Nothing else is included. See pictures. Dial has 392F- 896F range(also C temperatures) Soldering iron has foam grip. Soldering iron alloy stand is included. I tested it and it heats up fairly fast. Melts solder. May need to clean the tip from oxidation. I am not an expert. So regarding authenticity and condition please see pictures. I believe it is made by Variwatt.it is a no frills station that accepts a 3-prong plug and will keep the temperature of your iron consistent easily. It is made in Taiwan and comes in the original packaging.the backside has holes for wall mount if preferred. It is marked Max. 400W. 120VAC. It is in excellent working condition and looks to have been barely used. A friend gave it to me, but I have one already so I've decided to pass this bargain on to another glass lover.
