Antique Brass Propane Blow Torch - Mini 6" Torch - Great Steampunk Item
This is an antique small sized blow torch manufactured by The Lenk Mfg Co in Newton Mass that I have refurbished in order to bring back its original shine and luster. It stands just abouyt 6" high and the 2" diameter fuel canister is about 4" long. This antique brass torch dates back to 1920's. I have spent hours cleaning. Buffering, polishing and refurbishing this terrific piece of American workmanship. If you collect brass blow torches or Steampunk, this item will be a wonderful addition to your collection. In fact, to my knowledge, these are the smallest of the antique blow torches that I have found and truly do round out any collection. The antique brass torch is exactly as it appears in the photos. I have taken the torch apart and its cloth fiber wick connected to the opening valve is in excellent condition. I did ... morenot test this item but based on my observations. I think these are both Bernz O Matic but I am not sure. So please look at the pictures. One says O Matic that I can read and pat info and Rochester N.Y.It looks like the Berz part was drilled out for the metal insert. The other has no markings that I can see. However. They both have the exact same knob.I make no guarantee that they are. I know nothing about these types of items. They are from an estate sale.I am not an expert so please look the pictures over. The biggest one has a tiny hole in the bent elbow part. I don't know if that was put there by the manufacture or by the owner as a modification. I don't know much about these torches. You get two big torches with hoses. one has a gauge on it. You also get a turbo torch hose and some old school bakelite handle with no tip. It also has a slight crack. I will also throw in my very basic brass small bottle propane torch because I just got a auto igniting one and I don't need it anymore. The small propane one was not photographed but I will make sure it is in the box. It is all brass with a plastic knob.
