From the 1950s. This vintage Tonka Toys pressed steel dump truck is a classic. The levers work, and the tailgate opens up. It has paint scratches. There is some minor surface rust, especially on the bed of the truck. The wheels all turn fine, but the hubcaps have rust. Somewhere along the line, someone repainted the red portion of the truck with a brush. The box does not come all the way down- I'm guessing that it just needs a minor adjustment. A nice solid truck! Beautiful Blue Glass Insert and J Rogers Silverplate Sugar Bowl & Spoon holder
This is a real neat old spooner type sugar bowl. On each side of the sugar bowl there is an area dedicated for the spoons to hang from. This piece was made by JRogers Silver Co and is marked quadruple. The feet have birds on them and the front and the back of the frame seem to have a butterfly decoration. One of the two butterfly pieces is a little darker than the other. I have not tried to clean this piece. This piece is highly decorated. I am not positive who made the glass insert but I suspect perhaps it was Fenton. It is in very nice condition but does have a couple of very minor flea bites to the edge most likely from the lid. This group was brought back by the owner's Uncle from Japan after World War II. We don't know exact age. But know they date to the 1940's or before. We will describe and photograph them as best we can, but if you have any questions please email us. Plates 10 plates are about 5 3/4" in diameter 10 plates are about 4 1/4" in diameter( 1 plate has a chip on the edge see photo) background color is white floral design is blue rim of plate is a brownish color the dragon border is on the under side of the plates and there are two(2) dragons firing imperfections on all the plates no identifying ... moremarks on the bottom Cups 10 cups almost 3 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall background is white- floral pattern is blue Greek Key design on inside rim as well as a design on the bottom 1 cup has a crack all the way across inside and a chip on the outside(see photos) 1 cup has a very small chip on rim(see photo) smears of blue paint inside most of the cups but it's under the firing(see photo) firing imperfections on all the cups no identifying marks on the bottom Please feel free to email us for any additional information or with any questions.
