Vintage 1979 Marshall JMP 100w Amplifier Head
Up for auction is my vintage 1979 Marshall JMP MKII 100w super lead model 1959. I hate to get rid of any one of my amps but I have several and I'm building my family a house right now so I have to make good on my promise and excuse for buying them as an"investment" for our at the time forth coming home construction. So there it is. This amp is an absolute beast! The bypass cap has been disconnected on volume 2 and a 390pf bright cap added to volume 2 as well as a master volume added to the back side of the amp. These mods are easily reversed back to the stock circuit(if that's your desire) and detailed reversal notes are included tucked away and held on with magnets to the underside of the chassis. I originally considered removing the master volume but it acts more like an attenuator witch really comes in handy when you ... moreneed to play at bedroom levels without losing saturation in the power section. When fully unleashed this amp is extremely loud and the air movement off the speakers could literally rupture your spleen! Well. Not literally. By bridging either input of volume 1 with either input of volume 2 with the short George L's jumper cable you get a wider range of EQ and tone options. Also, the George L's jumper cable shown in the pics is included with this listing. As seen in the pics the amp enclosure shows the typical wear of an amplifier from the period and the inside of the amp is in excellent shape and clean. The amp is loaded with a matched quad of JJ EL34's that have seen a fair amount of use as it has been rotated in use amongst several other amps. I'm starting the listing low so don't let it get away! Inspected the parts, the power tubes have been tested on a maxi matcher and the bias has been checked. Some slight scale rust please refer to pictures, Fernel does have crack. But not very noticeable. The lamp does work when plugged in. Includes the Base and bale, Includes the barn doors It stands approximately 8 1/2" tall and the base is 5 1/2" in diameter. The lamp swivels and adjusts up and down in its stand. Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100w Head
For sale is a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100w head. This has been my main gigging amp for the past ten years. But it's time for me to move on. I no longer play in a full time band, and I don't need a 100 watt amp to play in my garage. It's served me well, and been well taken care of. For the amount of shows and practices this amp has been through it's barely scratched up, just a couple of tears in the tolex. The tone is outstanding, and particularly excels in the lows and mids. You can go anywhere from a full sweet clean to a gnarly raging beast with ease. Can be played through any cab, fully switchable between 4, 8, and 16 ohms. The only issues I've ever had with this amp are a power tube blowing years ago- had them replaced and biased at Aztech Electronics in Watertown MA, and three years ago the transformer blew, which I ... morealso had replaced at Aztech, by the same tech, Tom. When he put the new transformer in, he simplified the power chain by taking the effects loop off circuit, which he said should prevent any surges from taking out the transformer in the future. The output jacks on the effects loop are broken(you can see it in the picture of the back of the amp) which I didn't bother having replaced since I didn't use it, and the loop was wired off anyway. I have the receipts from the work done, I can include them when sold. Aztech Electronics is the real deal, I encourage you to look them up on Google, and if your in the Boston area most definitely take your equipment to them. They are the best! I lost the footswitch years ago when I moved from Ohio to Boston, so If you want one you'd need to get a replacement. I'll include a 6' and 12' power cable with the amp when sold. Overall, this amp has been great to me! It's my belief that do to the work put into this amp, it's more reliable than a stock TSL. I'm sad to see it go, but times(and needs) change. I hope it finds a great home! This baby won't disappoint! I will ship immediately upon completion of sale.

Listing my Music Man 210 RP 100W Amplifier ~ I put it at about 1980-1982 as far as when it was built. This amp kicks butt and the RP model is a more rare amp. The"RP" stands for Reverb ~ Phasor which is what makes this amp unique ~ Hughie Thomasson from the Outlaw's was a friend of mine and praised this amp as he too used Music Man Amp's during the 70's and 80's He told me to just use the Phasor at a low level which is what I've always done.It give's it a nice sound much different than a Fender with Reverb ~ Tremolo combo. This Amp has two Music Man Speakers and an original MM amp Cover from them- It has the original footswitch- 2 Groove Tube 6L6S- Solid State Hybrid-The Tolex has no tears and there is one slight bad weave in the grill cloth which is barely noticeable. Brilliant sounding amp with 3 channels. 1 clean and 2 gain. has seperate volume controls for each gain channel- set 1 higher than other for easy lead boost. Gain channel is awesome, can go from warm, crunchy overdrive to full on distortion with gain boost. These incredibly well made amps are becoming very rare, especially in this condition. It is definitely 4 ohms(although the label on the side of the magnet says 8 ohms for some reason) The speaker was swapped out to try get a different tone from the amp. It was working properly, no issues, when removed from the amp. The amp is rated at 160W, so I'm assuming the 100W rating for the speaker. This speaker is used in conjunction with a tweeter in the Workingman 15. This is a bass speaker designed for this SWR amp. it should work fine with other amps as well. I don't know. Here we have a 1971 100W Marshall Super Lead. Need to sell. As I bought a new Les Paul and prefer my more modern Splawn Quickrod. I know crazy. If your looking at it you know what it is and what it does, very loud rock n roll! It sounds great but collector types will be crushed lol, all capacitors have been replaced. Trust me this amp needed new caps, musicality improved a ton. A pi master volume installed. I believe I have most parts to make it real again minus the filter caps. Will include if you request. Another cool thing about this amp is the dark board, seems like leftover 68/69 part as most early 70's seem to have that cream colored board. Here we have a 100W solid state electric guitar head with two channels and a spring reverb in great used condition. This 1996 model was designed to emulate tube tone. But uses SS technology to accomplish its goal through the two channels with multiple voicings available on each. Detailed specs from Peavey are shown at the bottom of this listing, but in a nutshell, it features: 100 Watts@ 4. 8 or 16 Ohms, selectable impedance, T-Dynamic and presence controls, Two footswitchable channels, Footswitchable effects loop(footswitches not included) External speaker jack, Resonance switch, High and low gain inputs, Reverb with level control, 3-band EQ on each channel, Condition wise. It has been gigged, and shows it to some extent on the tolex and corners. There aren't any rips or tears- just mild bumps and bruises that are a natural part of age ... moreand wear. They have no functional or tonal effect whatsoever. The reverb pot crackles a bit when turned, but only when being turned, and not when set in position. The switch on the back that selects between 4- 8- and 16-ohms out has broken on the top, but is still completely useable with no functional issues. Actually, I like this, because it prevents it from being accidentally switched from the proper setting to one that might damage the equipment. There is black electrical tape wrapped on the power cord, but I can't tell why, and it works just fine, even when wiggled at the tape location. All in all, it is a fine piece of equipment that will play crystal cleans, or absolutely scream when you need it to. Questions are more than welcome. The only functional issue it has is the reverb light on the footswitch does not light up. The picture shows a reflection of a flash but the actual LED does not light when engaged. The actual reverb feature works great on all three channels and sounds awesome in my book. The head itself is in great cosmetic shape as well. The tolex is in great shape with the exception of a few small scuffs by each back corner. I had to really look to find them but I wanted to be honest. The two back metal corners are scuffed as well. The handle. Logo, vents and rest of the tolex look to be in like new condition. The tubes have very low hours on them. I am selling this because I have found I am more of 6L6 person. Eminence (H&K) V12 Rockdriver vintage series 12" guitar 100w speaker driver 8ohm
Ok I removed 4 Hughes and Kettner V12 Rockdriver Vintage Series 12" 8ohm speaker drivers from a 4x12" Hughes and Kettner guitar cabinet which stated it was 400watts(also listed) Making each driver in theory rate at 100watts according to Hughes and Kettner. I checked the serial number and these are in fact Eminence speakers re-branded. here is reply from Eminence customer Services about the speaker: 121216 was a custom designed OEM speaker that we manufactured to their specifications. It is an 8 ohm speaker with a 1.75" voice coil and a 38 oz ceramic magnet. We do not rate OEM designs(that is left up to the customer to test and rate their cabinet or amp) But a conservative thermal power rating based on the voice coil diameter would be about 75 watts.
