This patch is part of an Estate where the gentleman served in Vietnam and his father in WWII. We purchased mixed patches from a Yard Sale. Although we've tried to research this patch it has come up empty until now. With some new information from a researcher of Military Patches we have found out that this patch originates from the 1970's and is a USAF 2ND AIR FORCE patch probably from a BOMBER CREW. The patch features a blue ribbon with a large 2 with WINGS centered. It states BLUE RIBBON CREW SECOND TO NONE. The size of this patch is approx. 4.75" long x 2.6" wide. It is in very good condition. Not alot of fraying, very slight soiling hard to see. Nice velvety feel to the embroidery. The Blue Ribbon Crew is most likely a note to them being in a competition and being the best in that competition at the time. This is a vintage cobalt blue kerosene/oil lamp with a swirl& hobnail font. It has a blue ruffle crimped chimney. The font base is stamped" MADE IN HONG KONG" The lamp is 8" tall and 2 ½" wide at the base. The chimney has several bubbles in the glass. The wick moves easily and doesn’t appear to have been used. The inside of the burner has a little surface corrosion and there is one very small rust spot on the burner exterior at the base of the threads. It is the same variety as those plates recovered from the Tek Sing shipwreck, as they came from the same kiln in Southern China. This plate was exported to Malaya/Singapore region, n used by the local Chinese community(who immigrated from China, in search of work here) Some spots on surface, due to firing defects in the kiln. This gorgeous Global Village porcelain 6” planter is in excellent condition. It has no“dirt” marks inside so I don’t think it’s been used. However, since it was donated, I cannot guarantee that. It’s dark blue with orange and yellow markings. It’s 5” tall and 6” across at the widest part. The original markings/description tag are on the bottom outside and there’s a marking on the inside.
