Has Option 002 installed. This came in from a production facility. Older equipment that they didn't need any more. This piece of test equipment has the HP 18179A RS-232C/V.24 interface attached. Powered u nit up and came up to the 4952 screen. Screen display is nice and bold. Keyboard folds down and all keys intact. Has a zippered/velcroed attachment that can hold items. Inside there was a analyzer cable. Ribbon cable, power cord and one spare fuse. Back of unit has assorted connections and says it is OPT 002 installed. There was a metal nail in the fourth position on the Protocol Analyzer 18179A connector and also in the fourth position on the back of the Protoc ... moreol Analyzer 4952A connection on the back of the unit. But don't know why. Looking at the cable, it looks like that pin isn't in the cable, so might not be used. P ower cord included. So don't have to find one. Don't know how to use this item. I bought this HP 4952A to deliver a project at work which required me to reverse engineer a serial protocol. I completed the project and now the analyzer is for sale. This analyzer works perfectly and includes all the manuals and getting started sheet. The cables and adapters, software on disks, the 18180A pod and cable, and the power cord. I have included photos of the analyzer running 8 successful self tests and the menu for reading and writing floppy disks. You won't find a more complete and good condition unit. This analyzer can monitor both Transmit Tx and Receive Rx data. It can also simulate transmit or receive data and it can generate BER tests.
